"Great in every way. Perfect location for exploring the city as first-timers. Lovely 24/7 on-site concierge. Huge rooms with AC, washer, dryer, microwave, fridge/freezer and stove, including cookware and coffee maker. Only the bed sheets were a bit stiff/dry but overall bed was very comfortable. Would absolutely stay here again if coming back."
"On the plus side: the location is hard to beat - amazing and energetic neighborhood, lots of food options, not far from the Metro in two directions. Less noisy than we would have expected. On the minus side: We got the sense that the property was recently renovated and not all the bugs have been worked out. We put an unneeded pillow on a shelf in the closet and it promptly collapsed, suggesting no one had ever used it. More importantly, we had no wifi for two days - the hosts tried to provide...
"Auberge de la Fontaine is in a great location to explore the city, close to the lovely park, restaurants, shops, transit. Our stay there was pleasant. Our room had a fridge which was great. But it didn't have a coffee maker or kettle for tea, which I didn't expect. There is free coffee in the morning and water at reception."
"No on-site check-in staff. Didn't receive an email or text link with check-in info until I called them from outside in the pouring rain. Was unnecessarily frustrating."
"The place was fairly clean, and the bed was comfortable. I also liked that it felt more like an apartment than a typical hotel room, which made the stay feel spacious and homey. The main downside was the AC it didn’t work very well, and I would sometimes wake up sweating during the night. Overall, it was a decent stay, but the air conditioning could definitely use some improvement."
