"Stayed 2 nights to visit Watkins glen state park. Convenient location. When we arrived motel from outside looked a little sketchy. A couple of windows with cardboard on them. The room itself was clean. Not the best mattress and pillows were hard. Another couple staying in another room endured a horrible night's sleep with someone on the first floor below them screaming, cursing at 1:00 in the morning. Talked to front desk in the morning and was told police were called and it was a drunk man. Motel is family owned and seem nice enough."

"Hotel was great and the staff went above and beyond for us when we were guests. I would like to give Terry a shout out on particular because he was the guy we bothered the most,but everyone was fantastic. If you are visiting Hammondsport, I highly recommend you stay at the Best Western!!"

"Def avoid. Rooms were not clean, shower does not drain. Just to wash my face, the water was already up to my ankles. Asked them to fix the drain the following day and they did not. The one hook in the bathroom was falling off, doesnt even hold the towel up. The furniture were peeling, half the outlets didn't even work. The pillows were so thick, it strained my neck. Had to hike the next 2 days with a stiff neck. And the breakfast was very poor with barely any variety. The coffee was not hot, the creamers and jams provided were mediocre, barely any fruit. Just apples and toast. Only good thing was they had a waffle maker."

"I hate to leave a negative review but the hotel did not have water at the time of my departure unable to take a shower and had to find an alt place to do so. When called and asked the front desk they advise that there is an issue and wouldn't have maintenance til later that morning/ afternoon and I had a flight to get to"

"The staff is very friendly, kind and are very accommodating with our requests. I have nothing but excellent things to say about the staff. The bathtub shower head/sink faucet and drain were heavily stained. The bathtub was also not draining properly. The back of the toilet floor was terribly dirty and only flushed if I held down the lever for 20 seconds or there about. There was a large yellow stain on our bed cover. The hotel staff addressed the concerns we brought to their attention immediately. We appreciated this. The old iron clearly showed signs of needing to be replaced or at the very least cleaned. The calcium buildup from using hard water did not permit the iron to shoot steam or even take water properly. The metal plate itself on the iron also had what looked like bumps. This is from possible corrosion building up below the metal. This seemed to have caused it to snag my shirt. The room was also humid despite it being cool outside. Even after turning the air conditioner on, the room became very cool, but also humid which even on a low setting made it uncomfortably cold. The restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent and very reasonably priced. The hotel itself is happily situated because it is surrounded by great choices for food on that main road. This hotel definitely can benefit from a revamp of its amenities and attention to cleaning detail. All in all I would not stay at this hotel again unless these kinds of details are addressed."
