"The area was generally very dirty. The entrance to the hotel was being used as a shop for Chinese girls to get dressed up and having makeup. Hence it was as you were entering a small fitting room. The staff could hardly understand a word of english, while we had to ask for very standard supplys such as toilet roles to be provided to the room."

Beautiful place for breakfast, Chinese breakfast did not suit my wife but great coffee and orange juice, i think they own luckin coffee next door. Room was lovely but we are getting too old for a futton on the floor that was the only downside. I think some rooms had softer beds Hotel picked up from train and dropped off great service. "Wonderful hotel set in an ancient mansion. Staff were helpful and friendly and focused on improving the guest experience. Wonderful breakfast whether you ordered Western or Chinese. We ate the special set menu dinner. Definitely the best restaurant in Pingyao. Staff had a proficient level of English which enabled us to have a better experience visiting the historical sights in the walled city. Our two night stay was a five star experience."

"I didn’t stay at the hotel. I called and I got no answer. I arrived at the hôtel at 22h30. I didn’t found the hôtel. No Lightning at all. I had to find an another hotel. I send the message to the hotel and I’m still waiting for answerd. I called an agent and I explained the situation. I’m still waiting for new of hôtels.com"
