"My wife and I spent 5 nights at JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa in April, 2024. The room and beach were great. The facility itself is enormous, far more so than I had realized when I booked our stay. It's a Marriott, so expect meals to be priced double (or triple) what you might pay at nearby (and far less fancy) restaurants; indeed, meals were priced a good bit higher than what we had paid at similar or nicer hotels in Seam Reap, Bangkok and Hanoi. Perhaps the absence of high end...

"This is an excellent hotel with amazing service. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the manager Vee couldn't do enough for us, arranging trips and tours and giving lots of local advice. We were so sad to leave and will definetly be back. I loved the fresh flowers in my room everyday. A wonderful stay that we will always remember. "

"Great place for a family holiday. Kids 5 and 7 absolutely loved it. Went to kids club daily which got them out of the heat. Loved the slides, kids water park. The pools were hot, not refreshing. The rooms had great air con, which was needed as it was so hot. We ate outside the hotel every night, and easy to get tuk tuk, or walk. Lots around this hotel. Would highly recommend to families was young kids. "

"My cousin was getting married at the Akyra! We stayed there for 5 days. The all inclusive was well worth it! It included food, drinks and a massage each day! The massages were great, professional, relaxing. The food here is amazing, everything tasted so fresh. The staff was awesome and extremely kind. "Walking distance to beach but no access to beach chairs with no shade at beach. Resort nice pool and massage on site. There was issues with room requested one queen bed did not get got two twins instead did not say anything. My complaint about property was the manager the room was extremely hot and manager would not allow another key to improve this and stated she is saving the environment which I corrected this is not saving environment saving money only. "This resort is perfect for people looking to have a little oasis getaway. We stayed in a Palm Villa and it was worth the upgrade. Very clean, great amenities, breakfast buffet was more than sufficient and staff were over the top friendly. It is a 2 minute walk to the beach, which is not overcrowded and has tons of little restaurants.
