"This hotel is one of the best we have ever stayed in. It’s a smaller style boutique hotel. It’s outside of Ubud so not walking distance into the centre but they do provide a shuttle and it’s easy enough to hire a driver. We had the Emana Pool villa which was an absolutely stunning room overlooking a rice field. It was spotless, so comfortable and just beautiful. The staff at this hotel are so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for us. The on site spa is amazing and we used it twice....

"My stay at this villa was an absolute dream. The standout feature is the gorgeous private pool and outdoor living space, which feels like a secluded, relaxing oasis. Inside, the room was immaculately clean, and the bathroom featured a wonderful deep soaking tub perfect for unwinding. It strikes the perfect balance for location, sitting just a 10-minute bike ride or a 20-to-30-minute car ride away from the main hub. What truly made the trip unforgettable was the hospitality—the hosts were incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful with local tips and arrangements. I highly recommend this slice of paradise!"

"Maya Ubud genuinely felt like heaven. It is one of those places where the setting is as much a part of the experience as the hotel itself. The resort is surrounded by nature, rice fields, forest and the river valley, so it feels incredibly peaceful and removed from everything even though you are still close to Ubud. Walking around the property was an experience on its own. We stayed in the Maya Presidential Villa and the photos online honestly do not do it justice. It is enormous, around 950 square meters, and feels much more like having a beautiful private home in the middle of nature than staying in a hotel villa. The space, privacy, pool and surroundings really need to be experienced in person. The staff were wonderful throughout our stay, always warm, thoughtful and attentive. We had friends over one evening and the team prepared a private BBQ dinner for us at the villa. A special shoutout to Yoga or Yogal, who took care of us for the BBQ and made the evening especially memorable. Maya actually offers this as an in villa grill experience with a private chef, and I would definitely recommend doing it if you are staying in one of the villas. I genuinely did not want to leave. If you are coming to Ubud and want somewhere that feels peaceful, immersed in nature and completely different from a normal resort, Maya is very special. I would come back without hesitation."

"The room was super clean. It has all of the amenities such as toothbrush, toothpaste, cotton buds etc, so you do not have to ask for anything. You get two water bottles daily, theres tea/coffee sachets in the room. They have a water dispenser in the corridor so you can refill your bottles. It really had everything you need. On arrival you have a welcome drink and sweet. The service was good. They have a gym, spa and pool. The area has affordable massage places, restaurants and shops. Overall, highly recommend if you are staying in Ubud."

"We had a great stay over here. The staff, food, drinks, rooms, gym, yoga platform, and other spots around the hotel were great. We wished we stayed longer to use the plunge pool in our room properly or the infinity pool but we were busy sightseeing in Ubud. Next time we will stay longer for a more relaxing stay. The staff are really helpful and informative with good attention to detail with recommending the right things for yourselves. We got scooters out of the village to then get a private car hire car from the apps as the village will only allow non-app hires in. We definitely looked past this when rating the hotel as we enjoyed our stay so much. We had a room with a plunge pool. The room was spacious with plenty of amenities. They really thought about how to make the rooms grand with all of things you need to have a luxury experience. There is a cooking class nearby which is loved by many people who have done. The walk along the rice fields towards Ubud centre is beautiful. Very safe. Everyone on the walk towards Ubud centre were kind and helpful even at night time when it’s darker. Easy to walk around the hotel. Great food and great drinks! We had cocktails by the pool and they were top notch. We only had the food for breakfast but it was all freshly cooked to order. Situated in a rice fields away from Ubud centre it was therapeutic and natural with all the touches you need from an excellent hotel."
