"Firstly the positives … staff friendly and helpful. The buffet restaurant was excellent for dinners, a bit chaotic for breakfast. For dinner, the staff helped you to find a table, for breakfast you had to fend for yourself. The food at buffet was varied, interesting and very good indeed. The room was very comfortable. The negatives. Bath no shower! Big negative for me. The safe was on the floor which meant that whenever you needed to use it you had to get on all fours and get your head to floor level to open/close … not good. The hotel boasts an Ala-Carte restaurant that if you wish to use instead of the buffet (half board) you are given €20 Per person discount for the meal. The restaurant Antoninos, is a very basic pasta/pizza menu and frankly not worth it given the quality of the buffet. It was not surprising that Antoninos was very empty when we dined there. My recommendation to the hotel is to make the Ala-carte restaurant more fine dining and give it a good reason to not use the buffet restaurant. The chairs at the secret pool were often ‘reserved’ despite policy stating that reservation was not permitted. On arrival we were told we had 20% discount on all food and drink, however when we checked out, the discount was not on the final bill, we had to remind the person checking us out who then re-did the bill to include the discount, does not look good when guests have to remind staff of the discounts offered."

"What a lovely, lovely five days I have just had at Hotel Magdalena. The staff were charming and efficient and really kind. The rooms were immaculate, and the breakfasts were excellent. I cannot emphasise enough just how much I enjoyed my stay. It is 150 yards walk to the beach. Amazing. And the prices were incredibly reasonable. A real gem. I am already planning my next holiday at The Magdalena. I can highly recommend . And so look forward to going back. Thank you to everyone."

"Location was a stones throw from the Pefkohori beach. As a resident of the hotel for €20 euros you got two sun lounges, an umbrella and two drinks for the day. Terry is in charge on the beach and was such a great guy. Good value considering others can be double. Mihaela was front of house and she was always polite and pleasant. Room was really well kitted out and looked and felt great no complaints. Jacuzzi was an added bonus. The breakfast was by far the biggest and best value I've personally had included with a room. Top notch. You eat in the below Bakalis restaurant for breakfast and we also ate there a number of times in the evening, very good fish dishes. I would recommend the apartment for its luxury feel, location, I forgot free parking at a nearby huge outdoor car park manned 24/7 and the breakfast."
