"Great hotel, comfortable and clean with excelkent service. As a solo traveller I did not feel as safe in the area in the evening as I did elsewhere in NZ, but that is out of the hotels control. I would highly recommend the hotel."

"One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in! The bathrooms are so cute, with blue tiles on the walls and copper pipes that make it look antique. Lots of privacy with curtains at your own bed, your own reading light and outlets.
The hostel workers are fantastic. They host daily activities or meals. The night I stayed they made a full dinner for everyone.

"We had a fantastic weekend at Doubletree by Hilton celebrating a special anniversary. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was memorable by providing an upgrade, a personalised card, complimentary ‘treat’ snacks, a charming arrangement of ‘swan’ towels and petals, and a late checkout. "What a great space for a soft landing in Wellington. I travel continuously for the last ten years and I can say without a doubt the front desk staff is among the most accommodating , professional, helpful staff I have experienced. When the washing machine in my room didn’t work, they offered a change of rooms and to move my luggage and everything. The rooms are nice and roomy, bedding clean and comfortable. The only downside is the sofa in the living area it has certainly seen better days. ...
"Had a great long weekend stay with friends. Close to everything we needed - the show venue, shopping, the cable car up to the botanical gardens where we went for a walk & a coffee. Walked to the waterfront for a great meal on Saturday night and again to the harbourside market on Sunday. A really convenient location. The room was spacious and had everything we needed - including Sky so we could watch the All Blacks & the Black Ferns tests! We will return. "
