"This was the perfect hotel for our family of four! We booked the quadruple room which had two individual bedrooms and two full bathrooms. It came with a mini fridge and armoire and desk in one of the bedrooms. The other bedroom had a bathroom attached. Each room had its own individual air-conditioning units. The hotel was perfectly located next to the river and just steps from all the action in the city. Restaurants, shops, and château’s were easily accessible. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the hotel one morning. It was delicious! Highly recommended!"

"La Maison Rabelais is in the heart of Amboise – well-located and nearly everything is an easy 5-10 minute walk, though the train station is on the other side of the river by 1.5 mi, necessitating a ride. Very nice breakfast – hearty and copious. While the property does NOT have A/C, the room (big and spacious) stayed cool however the ventilation system was configured. It was a little warm at night but not uncomfortable, especially considering afternoons were near 100 F/38 C. Definitely a nice property."

"Good location, delicious complimentary breakfast with freshly baked lemon loaf one morning, assortment of fruit, cheese, breads, pastries. Appreciated the AC and clean room. Comfortable beds. Helpful staff. Stairs only, no elevator. Close walk to chateau amboise and chateau du clos. Would stay again."

"Excellent stay in Amboise. Hotel is two minutes to the city centre. Close to Restaurants and many of the City highlights. Staff is very welcoming, Room and hotel very clean. Free Parking is a bonus as city parking requires payment and hard to find. Would stay again."
