"Sadly the room was not great. Horrible cheap very uncomfortable mattress on a wooden bed that everything we walked near it we bashed our knee on. Room small. Used the wardrobe and ripped a good linen shirt because the door handle was fitter with a screws going all the way through and sticking out the back to far. Bathroom appalling. Mouldy shower curtains and due to it being a disabled one there was no room to stand and shower without bashing yourself on all the handles and chair. Totally flooded floor everytime we used it. Wet feet going to the loo at night then! Shame as it is in a perfect position to enjoy oxford. Sadly not the best 35th wedding anniversary stay. But Oxford is fab"

"Really enjoyed our stay at this luxurious hotel right in the middle of Oxford. It's steeped in history. We went to enjoy the Mayday celebrations and the staff where extra helpful. The car parking valet service was a huge bonus."

"Great location, plentiful parking, about 8 mins from park and ride, friendly and helpful staff, only criticism were that one side in the bedroom could have done with a wipe down (easy mistake to make and fix, rest of the room was spotless) and the basins were huge which mean cleaning teeth/face without getting everything wet, was difficult. I would go back however as it was a great hotel and the staff were good."

"Great hotel in a convenient and busy area of the city centre. Very comfortable, attentive staff, great amenities and the shower was SO nice. I was visiting during a really busy time in Oxford, so my room was street facing and I could hear some noise from the street outside, but that's to be expected in this area. Don't let it keep you from booking here, you will be so pleased that you did."

"The property offers good value. It’s a reasonable price and a 12 minute walk to the City center. The in room amenities were okay. The staff were helpful. We had an issue with hot water which was promptly. The Ethos cafe is handy but the food options including breakfast is only average What I didn’t like: the property should disclose prominently that accessibility may be an issue as there were many steps both to check in and to our room."
