"It's a student halls of residence. If that's what you're expecting I would imagine you'd be very happy with the room. If you're expecting a hotel, it's not a hotel. It was exactly as I was expecting. Comfortable, no frills, perfectly fine for a one night stay for me. Wifi was great. A little bit of noise at times, it's student accommodation, but not too noisy by a long way. I recently stayed at the IBIS in Bristol and that was far noisier. Would happily book again for a short stay."

Was there for 3 days, not once did I see anybody do any cleaning or replenish towels or tea & coffee. That's why it wasn't value for money. "The standout for the hotel was the receptionist that greeted us on arrival, it was during the last heatwave and we had travelled from London by train, he was very professional, the bed was very comfortable and the room large, the air con was a little patchy we kept having to reset it, maintenance was coming to fix it towards the end of our stay. We used the swimming pool, which maybe could of done with a lifeguard because there were slightly irritating swimmers splashing etc"
