Holiday Inn Express Newcastle Gateshead by IHG
"Pleasant staff, straightforward check-in and easy to find off A1. Had family room, it was fine but very small. Thankfully just one night stay. I quite liked separate toilet so people could use sink if someone on loo. Decent mattress but hot in room, couldn't leave window open because of traffic noise. ..."

Delta Hotels by Marriott Newcastle Gateshead
"On arrival the check-in was good. I was allocated room 128. When I noticed the view from the room was of the metal upstand of the hotel entrance canopy roof I was very disappointed. Hardly a deluxe room . I returned to reception. I was then allocated room 311, a much better room."
