"It’s nothing like it looks and it boring no activities no exclusive nothing room small bugs everywhere we have to pay every time you take a ride back to the city on the boat just totally aren’t there. I didn’t stay 24 hours there I was gone in 12 in the city."

"We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in a room with a private pool. The room itself was nice and comfortable, although the private pool was not very impressive and didn’t add much to the experience.The hotel has only one restaurant available and unfortunately the food there was not very good. Also, there is not much to do around the property, so it can feel a bit boring if you are looking for activities.However, if you are looking for a quiet place to completely relax and disconnect, it can be a good option. The staff were very nice and friendly, and we especially loved the dogs around the property 🐕, which added a charming touch to the stay"

"We are accustomed to staying at luxury properties, which is precisely why we chose Makani Luxury. Unfortunately, the experience we encountered was far from what one would expect from a property carrying the “Luxury” designation. From the very beginning, the experience lacked the transparency and level of service expected at this price point. Upon arrival, we were taken to a beach area where guests wait for transportation to the hotel. There was no dock or proper boarding area. Instead, we were asked to wait directly on the sand under the sun for more than 30 minutes. There was no shade, no umbrellas, no water offered, and no seating available. Guests were left standing on hot sand in direct sunlight with no basic hospitality while waiting to be transported. When the transportation arrived, it was not a speedboat as one would reasonably expect from a luxury property, but rather a small local boat (yola). We were required to remove our shoes, walk through the water, and board the boat under conditions that were never disclosed during the booking process. After arriving at the island, we had still not had water or food for quite some time. We politely asked if we could sit at the restaurant and have lunch while waiting for our room to be ready. However, we were told that we could not dine until completing the property tour and were asked to wait on a sofa instead. Later that evening we also discovered that the hotel does not provide food service after 10:00 PM, "

"Rooms cleaned daily with a Cozy cabin like ambiance. Food & Drinks Fresh Made to order. Staff Very hospitable and Kind Always willing to assist in every need. They made us feel like Home! "

"Excellent hotel. Very pleasant and serene. The staff is great and accommodating. The amenities are excellent. Food is delicious and convenient. You can order food, drinks or snacks from anywhere on the hotel grounds at your convenience. Keep in mind, as part of the hotel concept experience, they don’t provide hot showers. It’s more like a room-temperature shower. Some rooms have a shower under the open sky which is great but keep it in mind. Also something to note is that the island is not very walkable, you can go to surrounding hotels or beach clubs but not very far. Anything in between is not meant for tourists. Whereas not unsafe, just not much to do. If the weather is bad, boats don’t travel as frequently between the hotel and mainland. During sever weather, prepare to hunker down because all boat taxi service will be suspended until better weather. Otherwise, it’s an amazing experience. If you want a slow place to disconnect for 2-3 days - this is an amazing spot. PS: on the hotel beach typically there are activities provided by locals, like jet skis, boats, etc. "
