I stayed in Sakurai Hotel the day before I checked in Hotel Ichii, I left my luggage at Sakurai hotel. Hotel Ichii sent a car to pick up the luggage for us, it was great. Thank hotel Ichii.

Liked: Cleanliness
Location was good however the room still shows it age. The most disappointing part would be the dinner and breakfast, it was rather bland and ordinary.
Well run resort. The hotel staff were great. We had half board and both the dinner and breakfast buffets were excellent. Be sure to enjoy the big baths at the hotel. The inside bath has the sulfury water from the main town source in front the hotel. Inside are 3 tubs of different temps. My son and I both liked the middle bath it was “just right”. Be sure not to miss the outdoor bath. It has onsen water from a different source and has a lower sulfur content. The town is really fun and there is even a public onsen stream you can dunk your feet in while waiting to check in to the hotel.
Great location, just couple steps from Yubatake hot springs, you can tell facilities are a bit old but well kept, big room, great staff, big buffete dinner, breakfast a bit short in options but good, safe area. It is a natural onsen town so expect its particular smell at all time, inside hotel they do a good job isolating it but still keep that in mind. Onsen is awesome, by gender, traditional dress code (no clothes), 3 hot tubs at different temps and outdoor pool.
One of the staff who stand for the car parking service, he is rude and can't communicate.
At first time, When I check in, My friend just dropped us off, and that staff keep saying a lot of Japanese and I don't understand what he talking about. We just need to unload the luggage and take few minutes only. And he wasting my time for more than 10 mins due to poor communication!
For 2nd time, my friend drove his car and come to pick me up. And that staff didn't let my friend in.
I told him, we just load up the luggage and leave immediately. And he keep blocking my friend car. Until another staff came over and let my friend in.
I don't know what happen to this staff. This is not a high graded hotel look like! Please improve the staff's communication!
