"Don’t look anywhere else. We had trouble getting to the hotel - they sent two staff members out to take our car to the parking garage and our luggage. The balconies overlooking the river were phenomenal. The bathroom ceiling has a star ceiling that lights up as a night light. I couldn’t say enough amazing things about this hotel. We should have stayed there longer."

"Very nice hotel. Well situated in Lucern. I have it a generous 4/5. It slightly missed the mark in customer service; I took my wife for a big birthday and requested making it extra special. The hotel did not accommodate or ask me what I would like. This is a first, as we have arrived in rooms to find a birthday cake or a nice personal message at the very least. Also, there were a pair of boots in the wardrobe of the room when we checked in. I took these to reception, where they apologised. Did make me question how well the room was checked and cleaned."

The property is close to train if travelling by train and close to lake lucerne if you want to book a boat excursion. Staff was friendly and attentive to needs and suggestions of what to do. "The area around the hotel was very noisy from an early time each morning. I became sick and needed a taxi to a doctor at the train station. The staff was unhelpful, assuring me no taxi would take me such a short distance. I could not stand up. I asked about an Uber and they suggested I try that. Unfortunately, the hotel WiFi was down. They did not care. I hobbled outside to city WiFi and caught an Uber. When I returned, my key card did not work. I asked for a new one at the front desk and was asked for my ID. Isn't in a lobby chair to find it and couldn't get up. Some time later the desk clerk took mercy and brought me a working key. I could not call the front staff caring or helpful."

"The room we booked said it could sleep 4, but it was a very small room even for us as 2 normal-sized adults. The foot of the 2 twin beds was about 20" from the wall where a TV was also mounted. The other 2 loft beds would only be accessible to children or young teens. The room had a table with 4 chairs, but only room to use 2 chairs. There was a kettle and glasses, tea and coffee were available in the laundry room. The laundry machines were accessed via an app. The cafe downstairs was open for breakfast (not included) at 7am, and served lunch later, other beverages and aperols/drinks available. The staff there was very helpful. They also offered to bring our take-away dinner items upstairs to our room. There is an elevator around the corner but there are still some interior steps. There were other spaces listed, like a yoga room, but we didn't check it out."

However, when we attempted to eat at the Juliett restaurant, we sat at our table for 20 or 25 minutes without even being offered a glass of water. As a result, we looked for meals outside of the hotel, which we would not have done otherwise."

"Great location in the Old Town and easy walk from the Train Station. Check-in is at a different hotel, Krone, but it is just a short walk away. There is an elevator, but be aware that the rooms are half a flight of stairs away from the floor, so you will have to navigate some stairs with your suitcases (2 stairs to get into the building and 6-7 stairs to get to your room). We had a large room with a small balcony overlooking the square and a view to the river (I think it was the only room with a balcony). We enjoyed having a coffee there watching the activities on the square. Lots of restaurants nearby. The room was a good size with a large jetted tub and quirky, albeit comfortable furniture. Would stay there again"
