The Holiday Inn Munich West was a perfect location for visiting and exploring Munich. The train station was a 2 minute walk away and we were in the city centre in approx 10 minutes. The rooms were clean and comfortable, check in was easy and the staff were very helpful. We found there was a good choice of options for breakfast for meat eaters and vegetarians. Overall we would stay there again.

Liked: The location is excellent and extremely convenient. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is good, although it could be improved with more variety, as the same options are offered every day. Disliked: Housekeeping needs significant improvement. The housekeeping staff member had a very unpleasant odor that lingered in the hallway and inside the room. Dirty cups were not removed, and the bed sheets were not changed at all during our five-night stay, which was disappointing.

Very good hotel and value for the money. Rooms were clean, quiet, spacious bathroom. Breakfast was just OK and very basic. Scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage links, toast, pastries, coffee, and healthy options. All buffet style. Subway and bus stop literally within 100 meters makes commute very easy. Subway near the hotel has direct routes from and to the Munich airport. Expect 20-30 minutes commute from hotel to old town and most landmarks within the Munich urban area.

The annual Christmas market trip was to Munich this year. Now, hotels and taxis come very expensive in Munich, especially within the city centre, so we went with one of Munichs Holiday In Expresses, their large one located on the west side. Balanced with cost, this hotel is perfectly located next to Hirschgarten train station. Easily reached by the Sl or S8 metro from the city or airport. Check in was friendly and helpful. Room was basic but functional. Shower was great, bed comfy, safe and TV all working. Not many towels here and not very fluffy but you can ask for more. Also norm cleaning does not occur every day. Breakfast hearty and pleasant. You do have to book weekend slots so they can spread the demand, but this did not appear enforced on our visit. There is a nice bar with a food menu, and convenient alcohol, snacks, drinks shop located next to reception. This would be our go to hotel on trips to Munich for cost and location.

Visited Munich for 4 days and this hotel will be my go to for next trips. It’s clean, well maintained, great options for breakfast. It’s 1 block away from train station where all S-Bahn trains stop, it makes it extremely convenient for getting in and out of the city. Loved it!
