Great old hotel with a beautiful park outside
Yes its a very old hotel but dont let that stop you from booking. It was very quiet, comfortable and clean, would stay here again!

One Night in Loei
The buffet breakfast with eggs over easy, fried rice and minced pork was delicious! Toast was fluffy and yummy. Coffee was okay. Overall, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Beautiful property, quaint breakfast area, wonderful and polite workers. The room service we ordered was very tasty. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and like we were family. I cant say enough wonderful things about the staff. They truly made the entire experience considerably better even through a personal experience that was very testing to me. I wish i could give each and every person a warm hug and personal thank you.

Very clean despite being old building needing upgrades. Staff is awesome. Only thing could have been better would be able to make coffee in the room or have a coffee pot availble 24/7 in lobby. Will stay again on next visit

Shabby and unattractive
Had booked for 6 nights but only stayed for 2. Had to pay to upgrade to a room that was just about bearable. Could not recommend and would not stay there again. Does not look like the photos and is a dark, dreary and very dated hotel.

The hotel has seen better days and needs some upgrades. However the food was wonderful and the staff very helpful and kind. The location was excellent. I would recommend it to others and stay their again should I return to Loei

We booked a suite on the 7th floor and when we got there the front desk said they switched our room to a delux room because they were replacing tile on the 7th floor and didn’t want to disrupt us. They have us complimentary breakfast every morning due to this but the breakfast was less than good. Not a lot of variety and some English signs but mostly Thai language. A lot of their dinner menu for western food is far from what western folks eat. The Caesar salad was straight mayonnaise dressing. The pizza and fries are good! They don’t have towels readily available at the pool, you need to ask for one or bring your own. If you’re tall, the shower will likely be an issue for you as it was my husband. Limited water in the rooms and if you need more they charge you- it’s cheap enough but it’s the principal of the matter. You cannot drink the water there- it should be free. House keeping does not change the sheets when cleaning your room and making your bed. Nothing major but enough to mention. There is not a lot to do right there in town. Unless you are visiting a local or have things scheduled and drivers lined up, don’t plan on getting much of an experience. We were visiting locals and even though they said it’s save to walk around, we tried to one night but stuck out like sore thumbs! 2, white Americans who don’t speak the language. We ended up going back to the hotel 10 minutes after being out.

The room was massive and held 5 people well. The suite had an extra 1/2 bathroom which was awesome. The pool and restaurant were also great.

This property seems well taken care of and the rooms are large and comfortable. The bed and pillows are not rock hard like many Thai hotels and the pool is nice. An added bonus is there is a municipal park with walking/running trails just outside and a playground for younger kids. Breakfast was delicious and had many choices. We would definitely stay here again.

For the local area in this hotel is great. As with all chai hotels, the key also operates the power in the room. This is not usually a problem unless it’s 108°F outside and it takes about an hour for your room to cool off. Overall the state was good just wish we could’ve had some way to cool the room off before we got there. I would stay here again. I recommend this property.

First nightw Was great then we had to move rooms due to hotel being full, second room we were in had problems with the hit water in shower and a side table fell off the wall and smashed my toe taking off some skin, luckily not the whole toe. It's a great location especially for sat. Night market. Breakfast was also nice.

Very nice. Would stay again.
Beautiful lobby and nearby gardens. Parts of hotel had a bit of a "run down" feel, but overall was a much nicer place than expected. The hotel felt very empty they dates I stayed (November). The room was nice and clean, and the staff were very gracious. Excellent breakfast. Overall a very pleasant stay.

We actually wanted to stay in Chiang Khan for a long weekend but left booking too late and could not get accom. there so stayed 1 night in Loei and commuted. Check-in was fast, friendly & efficient.Our room was HUGE (about 15 x 5 m) and had a nice ambiance with teak furniture. In room safe,tea and coffee making facility, good aircon, comfortable bed and large bathroom all good.The room had an outlook onto a park and was close to walking street. Breakfast was " serve yourself" and the fried eggs and ham were only luke warm -----as I expect in most Asian hotels

4 night stay/ base hotel for area
Spent 4 days here as my girlfriend's family is from a nearby village. There is also a festival in town at this time of the year. Upgraded room is extra large and worth the few dollars more. Room had a balcony overlooking park in rear of hotel. Hotel is in a quiet area but is also used for conventions and large events that can be noisy. (though ended before 11 pm) Restaurant for breakfast is buffet style and is adequate though when crowded the staff is definitely overwhelmed. Bed is comfortable and wifi ok. Large pool is nice, though too cold to use on this visit. The shower is absolutely awful. Hot water quickly turns to cold water and back to hot and no adjustment makes a difference. (There is no tub).....The hotel is impressive on entering but shower and breakfast would have me looking for another choice on my next visit.

Best Hotel in Loei
Visited Loei on several occasions and found it to be a nice and quiet place to stay. The Loei Palace Hotel is in the perfect area and within walking distance to the center of town. The front desk staff and housekeeping were all so nice. I'll stay here exclusively in the future.
