"I booked it based on cost, even after reading the reviews. I was just staying 1 night before my early flight out in the morning. Bed was a brick, floor was in desperate need of a sweep/vacuum, the bathroom sink was leaky and the 1980’s faucet levers were highly corroded from this and the bathroom had a funky smell. The bed sheets looked clean so that made me happy. As a 1 night stay in a flop house it did the trick, I would not plan a vacation stay here for more than 1 night that required me to spend any significant amount of time in the room. The gentleman at the front check in was very nice so I appreciate that and the fact that parking is included. That’s why I have it the rating that I did."

"The Portofino was great. It is an older inn with modern immunities. The staff and especially the manager are very proud of the inn and that transitioned well to the service we got! The parking was FREE which is like a unicorn in this area. Lots of filming history at Franks restaurant which is on the same lot. The provided breakfast included some pastry’s, bagels, juice, cereal, yogurt, fruit. If you’re a light breakfast person this is all you will need. I highly recommend staying here. The area is safe and close to lots of activities."

"This hotel is very nice...it's very clean...the room was very nice. We were there for 1 night, and flew from Burbank airport the next morning. Did not get to have breakfast due to early flight and 7a breakfast start time. We didn't have a car, and there was very little to do and see within walking distance. Also the lack of restaurants was very poor within walking distance. Like I said, the hotel itself is very nice, but the area doesn't offer much...and the noise level outside the hotel overnight was a distraction. As nice as this hotel is, it's not likely we would stay here again."
