Wonder Hotel is excellent! Large rooms, friendly helpful staff, beautiful rooftop bar/restaurant and nice area. WIFI, showers, bathroom, beds all nice and good. Stayed 2 weeks while volunteering and couldn’t be more happy.
Everything was really good and clean. This is a really good hotel for Kiliminjaro area. Has all the basic amenities and cleanliness. Staff was very nice and helpful and the good was good as well.
Thank you all and Irene for all your help!
This is a great hotel surrounded by a nice neighborhood. It was clean, comfortable and all employees were very friendly and helpful. Nice swimming pool.
Breakfast had abundant choices and was very good. We ate at the restaurant both nights and there were lots of delicious and affordable food choices.
There is a very good view of Kilimanjaro from the rooftop bar.
This is not in the main part of town but is a short inexpensive taxi ride away.
The hotel shuttle isn’t free but it is fairly far away and the driver we had was great.
A great choice to stay and very safe. Shout out to Irene at the front desk that made our stay amazing with prompt responses, tips for transportation around town and checking in to ensure our stay was good. Our driver Victor provided that addition level of comfort driving around town and his knowledge of local hot spots. Unfortunately we didn’t get to enjoy the views from their top floor as it was under construction. Ask for a front facing room as the one we had backed on to a residential property with barking dogs. Staff made the stay pleasant and to downtown is only a short 5 -7 minute drive.
Rooftop bar features a stunning view of Mt. Kilimanjaro and the sunset, but that's about the extent of the positives. Most of the hotel seemed to be under renovation during our stay. Hot water ran out after about a 1-2 minute shower. Pool was dirty and deck in poor repair. AC worked fine. Location is not particularly convenient and requires about a 20 minute walk across some high speed roads/ roundabouts to get to restaurants and attractions in downtown.
No one wore a mask. On the last night one of the receptionists was coughing which could have been Covid related
Internet access was non existent. The website says the opposite. The folks were very unhelpful in this regard
For a hotel in Moshi, this is the best!!! I failed to summit Kilimanjaro so needed a place to convalesce after an over dose of Imodium did nothing on the mountain. At KWH, I made memories that will be with me forever. Daniel, Peter, Rama, Zack, Irene, Magdelena, Joseph, Marcus will live in my heart forever!!!! Stay here! And go to the rooftop bar in the evening for the view of Kili - I seriously thought it was a painting until I noticed tree leaves swaying in the wind. The pizza is good, as is the butternut soup and - the best - the vegetable sandwich. Last but not least, Ernest was a great chef and seriously lovely man - I loved his gap-toothed smile. Stay here, talk to the staff and, hopefully, you will leave feeling like it’s your home.
One negative - Friday - Sunday the surrounding bars and nightclub are ungodly loud. My beats earbuds cancelled the noise.
The hotel has gained what we call “hospitality ego”
Breakfast ends at 10am if you show up even 15 minutes before you will find that there is nothing left for breakfast. They left us Yuca and beans. Seriously?? Pathetic answers for late check out which usually ends at 11 or 12 but we were forced to leave at 10:30. No lineancy or anything. Caters more to white people. So if you white. You are fine I guess lol because they refused to serve my wife tea until another staff had to intervene. I don’t recommend this place
This hotel is a nice hotel to stay at Moshi, very close for some of the entrance routes to Kili. The hotel is clean and very well maintained. breakfast is good. The waitress is really nice, but some of the desk staff is not very friendly.
