"Amazing hotel"

"This was our favorite stay in Japan! The staff were the kindest and most helpful people. The room was absolutely gorgeous and so comfortable. We stayed in the river suite (Jitoku) and the sound of the water was so peaceful. The room has an attached private shower/bath, toilet, and sink. There is an onsen available that is private (it can hold up to two people in the same group, you mark it as occupied when you are in there). "Hotel is good. We did not choose mountaim view but the room is still good. Services is great. They picked us up by van once we reached the bus terminal, it's really convenient. Hotel staffs are very nice. They always smile. Foods are delicious. We were impressed by break fast and dinner they prepared specially. Food decoration is very nice and creative. Hot spring is nice. We can book in advance which is gorgeous. "

When we arrived, we had reservations for 2 people. They accommodated 4 in one room stating we would have some small ancillary fees, but then we were charged us an additional ~400 dollars when we checked out. "Decent traditional ryokan, which is fully equipped and it's the reason why it's pricey. Staffs were nice and always offer to help, though every requirement I asked would be charged and billed. Onsen is relatively small, but adequate. If you don't wanna add up dinner, there is a good restaurant near by the ryokan. "

"I loved the experience! Everyone was so warm and welcoming. They took great care showing me around and seemed to be standing by for anything I might need. The meals were exquisitely, artfully arranged - every vessel perfectly chosen and beautifully styled. I got to try lots of new things and found it absolutely charming. Nice and quiet location, too. I slept like a ton of bricks."
