Can’t give anymore than 1 star as we booked this place and got a completely different house.
We were told before check-in that we got an “upgrade”. The house didn’t seem as nice as the one we booked so questioned it - we were then told the original house had been double booked so moved us to another house across the road, not an “upgrade” - they didn’t communicate this with us or offer free cancelation, or see if we were happy with the change.
Moved into a house with a broken toilet (this is mentioned in the welcome book that it’s happened once in 3 years, but this happened everytime we used the toilet and have to open the top of the toilet to push a button to get water to work). Instead of 2 doubles this house had single beds and a double (we were 2 couples) and a shared courtyard with 2 big dogs.
While we were there we noticed no people staying at the house we booked, there were painters there painting the inside of the house, so we felt lied to and misled through the whole process. We have sent a complaint to the Hotels website in regards to this. But unfortunately we are unable to give anything other than 1 star for this as it is simply a completely different house to the one we booked and the one that is in the photos. With the inconsistencies and constant changes of the story we left extremely disappointed.
We hope future guests make sure they get what they are paying for not a cheaper looking house.
