"Wow! What an oasis from the business of life! Room was wonderful and spacious; beds were great. View from balcony and all eating areas is incredible. Staff was very responsive and helpful with one exception - wanted to make a shorter night by getting some bar food (as advertised) around 6 pm, but only alternative given was the formal dining at 7 pm. Love accessibility to funicular and train network. Grounds meticulously cared for."

"This hotel room was magical! Loved the double doors going to the balcony that overlooked Lake Geneva! Spacious, clean, comfortable, well thought out room that just couldn’t be better! The decor was beautiful and the lobby is just breathtaking! Staff were amazing and treated us very well! The food for breakfast was lovely and the outdoor seating was amazing for breakfast and the bar (which we ate at mostly) We found the food in the main dining room a little expensive (especially with the Canadian exchange rate) but in line with most of Switzerland! The beautiful promenade to Chillon Castle is right off the back patio! We utilized our Montreux Riviera card for the museums and transportation to Vevey which we were very appreciative to have! What a beautiful stay in a beautiful city! Thanks for a wonderful memory!"

"Hotel Rene Capt was an absolute joy. More than we'd hoped for in terms of a lovely Belle Epoque hotel on the lake. Dining on the terrace was superb. The staff were immensely helpful. Perhaps best of all was the garden for a quiet read - with Lake Geneva just across the pedestrian promenade."

"Paying for cheaper hotel Villa Toscany you can still use facilities across the road sauna, swimming etc. which is great. Good location. I do struggle to find information on Expedia website that check in for Villa Toscany needs to be done in Royal plaza across the road if I knew it from begging would be more helpful."
