Great stay. Easy to park. Outside/lobby looks outdated but the rooms are great, balcony & updated bathrooms. Very thin walls so quiet hours definitely make sense.

Great location. Great value for the price paid. My room (#41) had a nice view out toward the front - with good lighting. It can be noisy - walls are thin. We could hear the guy clunking around upstairs, but the staff remind guests to keep quiet. Room was clean; bed was comfortable. You get what you pay for - and I'd recommend this hotel for anyone who is budget-conscious.
They did everything that they could. Sure it’s under renovation but the staff was extremely nice and provided everything one could ask for. Location wise it’s perfect.
Air Conditioning was on when we arrived to cool the room during a hot day. Beautiful European Style, comfy beds, fun and quirky and not like the commercial chains. Quiet, safe, friendly, one of the better experiences I've had at a hotel. Also only steps away from the Subway Metro!
I liked it honestly the guy in the reception was helpful and good to us
It’s an affordable hotel with nice and walkable area to downtown
Clean and comfortable
Clean room, efficient checkin, older quaint room but well cared for.
Walking distance to some of Montréals best shops, Mount Royal, and of course Schwartzs deli. Thinner older doors let sound travel so keep that in mind as i saw complaints in other reviews. All in all it was my little home away from home for 2 days and i liked it
The staff were fantastic, accommodating, friendly and kind. The building itself is dated and is in need of some major updates. The rooms themselves were clean for the most part. It was safe and fairly quiet. It’s right next to the Sherbrooke metro station, making it extremely convenient. I would stay here her again, but I would keep in mind that this place was more of a place to sleep and not really a place you would spend a lot of time “relaxing” in.
The TV in our room was not working properly the whole time, but we didn’t go there to watch tv. There was also no fan in the room.
Nice location, close to downtown and public transport, but not many restaurants around. Room doesn’t have a kettle nor coffee machine, no fridge, no safe. OK for one night stay.

Interesting old building. Excellent location. Bldg is old and a bit rough but the room was fairly clean. If you're looking for a great walkable location to sleep this is the place. Very basic amenities. I really enjoyed it here. Bring your own pillow, theirs are uncomfortable and also the bed is uncomfortable if you're older. If you're young then it's fine. Would absolutely stay here again
Great location!!
Cheap stay, in a cheap hotel. The toilet was a good 5 steps from my room which inside had a shower and sink. Smelled ok, bed is a sinking but still works well enough. Got towels from the front desk and I was set.
Other people there were extremely quite and Id stay here again.
Abundant roadside parking, casual and seedy restaurants, mysic venues and bars close by.

While the hotel lacked curb appeal, the rooms were adequate for an affordable city-break. The staff member who initially greeted us did appear confrontational at first, but warmed up when he realised we had made an advanced booking. The member of staff who served us the next day was very nice and allowed us to leave our bags at the hotel after check out, so we weren't carrying them around the city. The hotel is in a good area for exploring Montreal
The location was fine. The overall cleanliness of the hotel and my room was poor.

It is a very old heritage building that needs work, but the owners are improving it, it is under construction. The elevator has loud sounds and bumps when operating. If you want a clean place to stay for low cost, it is fine.

It was fine. I appreciate that the front desk staff stayed up for our very late check-in but should try changing it online because some places said it was 24hr front desk. Rooms were clean, and beds were hard. Overall was not a bad experience, but I would consider other options next time.
The outside was run down and overgrown with shrubs. Garbage out front. Howl sign was partially working. Entry was not welcoming. Smelled like family cooking dinner. Room was fine, beds were basic, not enough blankets. Bathroom was very small and shower needed cleaning. Only 2 towels for 4 people. Overpriced for amenities for sure! Could have stayed in a chain for the same price and had more amenities and space. Location was good, neighborhood was nice and close to places we wanted to see.
The property is in a mixed commercial and residential area, very near the Latin Quarter and a couple of metro stations. It was very clean and comfortable when we visited. I liked the ability to open the screen on the door that led to what I believe was a fire escape. I also opened the door, but then noticed the smaller screen so used that to avoid bugs. It also had a window a/c unit which we didn’t need during our stay. We paid quite a bit more for our room because it was the weekend of the Formula One Grand Prix race, but that's to be expected. The property was safe and offered what we needed. It had a nice sized refrigerator in the room, and I noticed a microwave near the front entrance of the hotel when we were leaving that would come in handy. The walls are somewhat thin so you can hear tones of conversations, but it wasn't obtrusive. We also heard creaking floors at times. We had great service from the front office!
