The room itself was reasonably clean. Walls were paper thin!!!! Couple came back late at night could hear everything!!! No staff to complain to at 4 in the morning!!! No restaurant no bar had to drive a2 miles to get a meal!!! Will not be using this place again!!!

Was working for a week in the area, and this was a perfect base. Good connections to the A55 and plenty of parking at the hotel. The room had the basic amenities and a larger than usual television for such a room. Water took a short while to get warm, but once it was going the pressure and temperature was excellent. No bar or other hospitality services, but suited my situation, made for a quiet but comfortable hotel for a week.

In the whole this hotel is really good. The outdoors are beautiful n staff very helpful and friendly. The decor is very impersonal magnolia and white but it’s clean grey curtains. A few positive suggestions still: tea spoons on the complementary tray in bedroom A better kettle and bigger cups. Spare blanket in cupboard Clean the mould growing around the bath.

I didn't stay here and am asking for a refund immediately, also this place is being used for asylum seekers and being run by eastern European's, when I finally arrived everywhere was locked up and despite ringing bells and banging on the door nobody came. I found a phone number on the side of the door so rang that, a man eventually arrived I went to the room and went back immediately and said I would not be staying. I hold expedia responsible for this and await your response.

It was like a ghost hotel. One receptionist seemed to be only staff member. Public area carpets were in need of hoover. However individual bedroom was impeccably clean with plenty of heating and hot water. There was no bar or food available so it's picnics in room or go out for all your meals. False fire alarm woke us at 7pm. Poor receptionist couldn't manage to turn it off! Workmen seemed to be the only other guests?

Very poor service
No one to greet us on arrival, when reception arrived gave us key. Didn’t show or tell where room was. Got in room knock at door if you stay here now you will be charged extra, so we went and came back later. Bed was supposed to be double king, it was two single beds put together, one was higher than the other and one was an old mattress that had no support in it st all, very uncomfortable night. No receptionist to had key in in the morning, just put key on the desk. Over all this was a very unsatisfying night.

well worth a stay, will be back in the future
the character of the building blew our minds, not what we were expecting from the photos on here, the room had been recently renovated to a good standard, new carpet, fresh linen, clean towels. the staff were so attentive and helpful and didn't even get to creeped out when we bought in a prop replica of the Annabelle doll. we are looking forward to retuning especially when the renovation of the bar and restaurant is complete and open

I was not informed when booking my stay that there was no restaurant facilities. Consequently I had to go out for my evening meal- and this after a 6 hour drive to get there. No breakfast facilities. I think that I was virtually the only customer staying there. The property was surrounded by temporary mesh fencing which made you feel you were staying on a building site.

I booked a three night stay at the Northop for my wife to attend a local event. She had a single room. Suffice to say that the "noise" coming from next door was enough to make her go and sleep in the car. After complaining to management the next morning, she was upgraded to a suite and no extra cost for the rest of her stay. Excellent customer service, thank you.

It's dirty. There was a fight that went on for hours in tbe room above me and tbe police were called. There's no facilities and the cleanliness is poor. They refused a refund as the fightbwas a result of another guest and therefore not their problem. Avoid this place.

The hotel was not a hotel at all, just a room to sleep in with a bathroom. No staff, no catering at all, no breakfast, no dining room, no service or lounge/bar. Totally appalled by the whole experience. Should not be still available for bookings.

When we pulled up to the hotel, our intial thought was that it was closed, there is temporary fencing all round the property after going into reception I asked about breakfast and a bar, neither where available, there is nothing within walking distance either on the plus side room was clean and fairly comfortable.

I had no idea that the hotel was under refurbishment, I think they are short of staff too, the receptionist appears to also act as the cleaner, the toilet basin and seat were dirty. The receptionist was trying his best. There was no heating in the room either.

There’s on going major renovation work and the whole place is essentially a building site. There is minimal staff who appear to be untrained and out their depth though generally polite. To be honest I am not sure if the hotel is safe or legally operating.
