"I stayed here for 2 nights and it was wonderful for what i needed. The owner was very helpful and even had complementary waters and soda’s in the main office. My only complaint was that the air in the room was a little damp so towels did not dry very well and the room seemed oddly wet but it did not disrupt my stay."

"Great place to stay in a great location. Rooms are dated but it's okay, it's an older lodge. They were very clean. Everyone was super friendly. The outside of the building needs a little love, but don't let that fool you. Would absolutely stay here again!"

"The room was clean, but showed signs of wear and tear. Bed was comfortable and the room was amazingly quiet, even though it was right next to the elevator. We have all had bad coffee, but the coffee in the breakfast area was pretty bad. The attendant was very nice and the breakfast area was clean. For a one night rest while on the road, it was satisfactory."

"Great hotel with amazing staff. Our room was clean & spacious. On site restaurant & bar were great with a wonderful variety of food and beverage options. Neat shops on the surrounding grounds for coffee, ice cream, hotel & local souvenirs which were very nice. Plenty of parking on site"

"I like that it has old Alpine Charm that fits the highlands. They have go to great lengths to build out decks from the restaurant, have pickle bar ball court. There is a specialty food truck onsite in addition to good menu and nice bar, it gives the Pineola a vibe of youth and comfort. Although I don’t stay often I live in Newland in Summer and will make sure I get back to restaurant/ bar to relax one evening."
