"I have stayed here a few times many years ago and always enjoyed the charm of the original property. Coming back after a break of 10 years or so and having seen the renovations and mixed reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect. I shouldn’t have worried. The property is lovely, the staff from the front desk, bar, restaurant to pool attendants were first class and couldn’t do enough to make you feel special and ensure a great stay. We originally were staying 3 nights but had to stay an extra night due to a flight cancellation, again nothing was a problem. Only negative was the lack of storage in our 2 queen bed room, but we knew what we’d booked and that it was going to be a bit tight so that’s probably on us, next time we’d book a bigger room for the 3 of us. We’re already looking for a time to come back which probably says what it needs to. No hesitations in recommending."
