"We loved staying here. It really had a mix of modern and historical. Felt like a proper English hotel and had a tub in our room!! Hard to find in Europe. There was some construction but it wasn’t impacting our experience and it’s obvious they’re reinvesting in the property and up keep which makes me know I would want to stay there again in years to come. "Excellent hotel. Everything is well laid out and perfectly furnished from the elegant bathrooms to the welcoming rooms. Even the stairs are perfect with their quality wooden flooring. The whole building has a good feel to it. All the staff were superb. Warm, welcoming and helpful. The voucher for a cocktail in the basement bar was a delightful surprise. The basement bar with its Saturday DJ may be catering for the younger generation, but it was great fun, even for us with only few grey hairs...

"The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. They provided us with a cooked breakfast as well as a selection of cereals. Shenandoah House about 5 minutes walk from the beach and is close to local shops, restaurants and cafes. It is also within walking distance to the Turner Gallery and Dreamland. "The apartment was perfect in every way. Location to Dreamland, communication with host, cleanliness, the tea, coffee & snacks, with milk in the fridge was a very nice touch. The courtyard garden was a lovely subtract and seating very comfy."
