"The check-in was seamless and the eating recommendations were great. It was odd to require a deposit as we checked in, but it was no more than the price of the stay. The room was comfortable and we slept well, which is mostly what you want when you are on a trip. The windows opened for extra ventilation, which was nice to have instead of using the AC unit. A pleasant stay, if not an outstanding stay."

"Spacious room, well priced and dog friendly. Good for a night stop and close to a brewery/restaurant. They have a very nice courtyard area with tables and chairs and a fenced dog area. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming."

"It is a neat hotel with character. It is clean and well maintained. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but there are definitely some negatives: The breakfast was pitiful. I was forced to go out for breakfast. There is no dedicated parking and since the hotel is located in the middle of a tourist town, finding street parking was not easy. I had to park several blocks from the hotel. There were often homeless people congregating on the sidewalk in front of the hotel. I would have to walk around them...

"No "real" person at the front desk for check-in. The virtual attendant had a microphone that kept cutting out and it took three of us to figure out what she was saying and instructing us to do. There did not appear to be any staff on site and it did not feel safe. Extra flooring planks were left in the hallway with caution tape wrapped around them. The sheets appeared clean, but the mattress underneath was gross looking. Just an overall sense that this was not a good place to be. We did...

"Only 1 complaint. Hard surface floors were sticky, having not been rinsed. Not sure how housekeepers aren’t trained and don’t know. I left a polite note describing the issue and asking to rinse the floors. Note and tip were gone - floors still sticky."

"When we arrived to check in there was a lady in front of us and we thought she was just getting a single room. The guy said well these people haven't shown up that have reservations, so I'll give you this room, we had a suite. Next thing we know three more people showed up so we think they got our room because then we were stuck with a handicap room for 5 days. The toilet seat is broken in the one bathroom and the bed is on the floor and the other bathroom has a seat in the shower so it's very...

"This hotel had all the amenities advertised, available and in good order. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. There was lots of choice for breakfast from cereal and toast, cooked eggs and bacon to make your own mini waffles. Coffee was great. The town of Eureka was great and the Friday Night Street Market had good entertainment as well as a choice of local produce stalls. Only wish we were staying another night."

"Fridge was broken. No staff in the lobby just a teleprompter with a webcam. Shady ass people that live there on site and let dogs run around without a leash or collar. Sketchy area. Room was dirty and towels were stained. Not safe at night people loitering around."

"Because of the Marathon thru the Avenue of the Giants was this weekend, it was very hard to find a room. This was the only place available and even though the rates were extremely high, we were pleasantly surprised with the property and staff. the early breakfast was an added benefit before we hit the road to the Redwood National Parks. I would stay there again if in the area. Front desk staff was very helpful."
