"Was a 10 min walk to everything, restaurants and partying. The property was secure and clean. The staff was awesome, helpful and friendly. The beach in the rear of the property was convenient also. Excursions also within 10 mins and restaurants nearby."

"The front desk has some shining stars. Others are pretty dull. Did not know that our booking “did not come with cleaning” despite being a week long. Cleaning staff was sub par. All of the bar staff was amazing. They kept the vibes going, and were super helpful. Cabana restaurant was a hit or miss but they had a few gems there as well. Property is right on the water and the pool Is fun with a few swim up seats. Overall a 7/10 for me."

"Check in was quick and we were allowed to check in early. The room and resort is very clean and had everything you needed; beautiful pool, hot tub, plenty of umbrellas and loungers. Excellent views for watching planes land and seeing Maho. Every staff was very kind and helpful and Jesus pool bar is the best!"

"Firstly we landed early. I tried to get an early check in and there was impossible. The room was indeed ready but still they made us wait until 4pm on the dot. When we finally got to our room there was no cold water. My boyfriend actually burned his hand with the boiling hot shower water. The front desk only suggestion was to give a refund (where else were we going to find a place to stay at with such short notice ) or change our room to the other building with no balcony or ocean view like I paid for. We settled for the new room. After 24 hrs , the “upgraded” room experienced problems. There was now no hot water and the WiFi and ac stopped working. There was one female front desk clerk that was very helpful. She kept us updated via WhatsApp. As far as the gentlemen he wasn’t so helpful. Didn’t communicate at all. Once we came back to our room late that night the problem still wasn’t solved. My boyfriend had to go downstairs and speak with the security and the security had to check behind the desk for a spare key for an emergency room for us. So throughout the whole trip we have to change rooms 3 times."

"Just an amazing experience. it was our Sonesta property since our honeymoon 36 years ago in Bermuda. We spent 3 nights/4 days of sunshine rest and relaxation celebrating a birthday and retirement. The Jr King suite was perfect and we’ve never experienced the degree of kindness and helpfulness from a hotel staff in all of our journeys. Sheryl kept us laughing as the mixologist at the pool, Dominique was our server at both Fontana and Portofino and was the happiest person. She made both of those dining experiences extra special. Jonathan took care of us at our last breakfast at Azul and was so nice as well. Honestly, everyone at the resort was friendly and cheerful. We will return!"

"Fantastic location on Orient Beach. The room i selected for my daughter and I was nothing luxurious but clean, welcoming, and convenient. And use the car service they suggest. Best deal and great group of people. Verry acomidating, even let me request a lady driver when my daughter went hanging out, on her own."

"Great location but the staff was not pleasant to deal with- rude ! The toilet was not working properly, I got bit by black ants in my bed. Food was poor quality and drinks were horrible. Will not recommend!!!!"
