"This hotel is absolutely stunning. The staff were remarkably friendly. The art is vibrant and alive with Costa Rican culture. We arrived early and we were greeted with luggage storage, restroom facilities, and absolute kindness. Our room was very spacious and decorated with modern beauty. "Road to.. It was a great ride on the dirt road to Santajuana alongside palm tree trimmers, cattle, motorbikes, and the required 4-wheel momentum to make it up into the hill. Clean woodsy classy designed room with comfortable bed in the screen sided cabin, plus 270 degree view on the deck, while we appreciated the rain soundtrack and viewed fog, haze & gorgeous sunsets meant a new level of peace, bookended with hikes to and dips in waterfalls. "Very quiet, simple hotel in Quepos I stayed just to be close to the airport for departure"

"Highly recommend The Retreat hotel! It was gorgeous and the views breath taking. The staff was very attentive and kind. Will definitely go again. The tours were over priced though. ~400 per tour and while the locations were beautiful it was not worth that much money. Also note there is no food you can buy except for in the restaurants there. So grab some snack at the airport. But highly recommend this place. Even in the rainy season it was amazing "

"The room is beautiful and very clean! They are bungalows in the middle of the forest, with breathtaking views. The property caretaker, Tony, is very polite. Strongly recommend this. Just a note, there is no restaurant around so you must drive to the beach or quepos to eat all meals. There is no room service nor any service at the pool. "

The internet signal is not very good, so if you're counting on working during your holidays, I would take that into account. There is internet, it's just somewhat unstable. I loved the hotel, I wish I had had more time to enjoy, since I was there for only two nights. "
