Avoid ground floor otherwise all OK

Ground floor room, window with no view. Room was excellent maintained and has all amenities. Really impressed. Shame that at around 7 am in the morning you can hear workers slamming doors and mopping floors but otherwise not bad

We didn't actually stay in this hotel. They had transfered us to another local hotel which was fine but they then sent us to the wrong alternative hotel. We went to 3 different hotels once we had arrived at the one we were transferred to. Would have like some more warning and the correct location of the other hotel.

We paid extra and booked a double deluxe room. The description did not mention that it was in the basement. The room never got warm despite the heating being on and it was dark and dingy. Had it been mentioned that the room was in the basement we wouldn’t have booked it and booked somewhere else. The check in staff said that they were fully booked and the basement rooms were the only ones available.

My stay was overall better than it's sister property that I stayed in June-2022-Just a couple things 1.they said they had a light menu room service -never seen or told about-no,I didn't ask for-I believe it should have been provide in the room-the should be notes to other guest about closing doors in the the hallways and into there room-be considerate to others-The bathroom in room 012-very nice and clean-the just need to make more room to use the toilet-either move it next to the sink or cut down the corner closest to the toilet so, you can use it easier-Other then that I would recommend it and would consider staying there again-very close to everything tubes-restaurants-very nice neighborhood-

The room was in the cellar and awfullly cold, dirty and was suppose to be a double bed and its been 2 mattress pushed together. Couldnt move in the room. Nothing like what i thought I had booked. Not even close to the pictures. ..been offered to change room for an additional fee !..so ended up having to pay more for getting the room i originaly booked .. not happy

No Sleep....

When I arrived, I was informed that my room was not available due to "unexpected maintenance issue" and I was instructed that my reservation was being moved to another hotel. The place that I was directed had a great staff, but the room was tiny, below street level next to a busy street and under the dining area. Needless to say that there was no sleep that night due to the load traffic, sirens of police cars x4 and heavy footed guest in the dining area. Absolutely miserable experience. The size of the room would have not been an issue if I could have just gotten some sleep.

Initial concerns gone - great room

Initially concerned due to some concerning reviews. What i believe is that there is same owner for larger hotel across the street (where reception is) and rooms in several entrances (townhouse) opposite the main Hotel. My room was in basement, but still ok for the area and looked completely renewed, same as hallway, elevator... Street noises as expected for any property downtown. Overall not bad size for single person. 5min walk from Paddington station, lots of coffee shops and restaurants in walking distance. I'd go here next time as well. Only downside was that windows were traditional ones open half up, bottom part. Which means you can't have window open for air as you're open to the street above. However that's traditional architecture that give the building its exterior charm.

Vi bestilte et deluxe rom, og det som møtte oss var helt annerledes enn på bildene. Det var et kaldt rom nede i kjelleren, med søppel på gulvet, og det så ikke ut til at vaskingen var blitt gjort. Vi sa ifra, og fikk dermed byttet rom. Dette var også skittent og det lå dessverre søppel under senga her også. Fin beliggenhet på hotellet, men det blir nok et annet hotell neste gang.

I booked this place because I needed a hotel with a fitness room close to paddington station - the fitness room was under renovation, would have been useful for them to inform this on their website because then I would have booked something else…
