ever answered the phone for late arrival details

I booked a room and seen on the website that check in is only up until 7pm but if I was to turn up after that time to contact the hotel and let them know I’m which my key would be left in a secure locked box for me. Well I must of rang the number for the hotel 20 times and got no answer. When I finally arrived there was an emergency number to call on the door. Well they didn’t answer the 3 times I called it but instead sent me a txt stating reception opening times and that they are unable to answer my call... what kind of emergency number is that when nobody will even answer to help! I had to reply to that txt saying that I was outside and have no where else to stay in which the reply I got was ‘check in is between 2pm and 6pm’ I had to reply again saying I’m stuck with nowhere to go. Finally they replied saying they will send someone... 20 seconds later someone opens the door... so all this time the guy txting me was inside the property and didn’t really want to help until I pretty much begged. What’s the point in offering a late check in option if you don’t answer the bloody phone??? Other than that the room was fine but the first impression and customer service was terrible. I was almost left to just find somewhere else.

This is a place where staff and owners don’t care We booked, them because of covid19 couldn’t get to London Despite 3 weeks notice was told there was no way they would even consider a refund and it took 4 unanswered emails before getting such a poor response Beware of booking here!

The allocation of the room on the third floor when I arrived was totally in appropriate because I wasn't able to take my cases up the stairs. I wasn't aware that there was no lift. The gentlemen on the front desk did after a while agreed to let me have the room on the ground floor. Room G05 is very light at night the blinds do not shut the light out.

Stayed for 2 nights. Hotel room, as mentioned in previous reviews, was very compact. Room lovely though and had everything you would need. I did however, find the whole hotel compact, to the point of claustrophobia On arrival the girl at the desk went on about all the 'free' stuff, coffee, water etc but she used the word 'free' so much i found myself feeling slightly irritated and wanted to inform her that, no, not 'free' as i had actually paid for the stuff! 4 coffee pods in room but my partner and i used them on day 1, day 2 they were not restocked so i asked for some at reception. 50pence each! Per pod!! Eh, no thanks!! Breakfast was just ok. Overall was ok for overnight stay. Comfortable bed and lovely shower and toiletries.

Very nice!

I have stayed several times at this hotel, and like it very much. It has a very convenient situation close to an underground station. Very nice staff, service minded. For elderly possibly less comfortable due to lack of elevator. Breakfast OK - but perhaps not the most exciting. However - I will happily comeback!

Good but not perfect

The experience is good, it's in a very good place, close to Camden Town place that I love most in London. Rooms are clean. The breakfast is not so good. Last time I found that there were no sleepers in the room and the hairdryer wasn't working, but the rest was perfect. I will come back again for sure.

Clean and conveniently located

I stayed here when I attended a concert at the Roundhouse and it was very conveniently located. Check-in and check-out were very easy and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The room itself was small but very clean and had all the essentials. The main issue was the noise - I was on the lower ground floor, which is where breakfast is served and it was very noisy, so earplugs would probably be an essential if you don't want to be woken up at 07.30am. Overall, I would stay here again, but probably not for more than 1 night.
