Our stay at the Fox and the Grapes was excellent! We throughly enjoyed the delicious breakfasts, the main fireplace in the great room/lobby, and fireplace in our East Lake room. This was the perfect home base for our Seneca Lake wine tour! We enjoyed meeting Guinness, the friendly B&B German shorthair pointer, who made us feel welcome as well.
We will definitely be coming back!
B&B in the heart of Finger Lakes wine district. Lovely looking Inn with delightful inn keepers. Room small but adequate with a very comfortable bed. Free WiFi and parking. Great breakfast (included).
We had a great stay here. We were warmly greeted as soon as we arrived and given a tour of the house and porches. Our balcony room gave us a great view of the sunset over Seneca Lake. The owners gave us a nice overview of the history of the property when we asked during out wonderful breakfast. Will definitely recommend to friends and family!
This was our first time staying at The Fox and the Grapes and we really enjoyed the experience. The house and property are very inviting and well kept and you feel at home immediately. We were welcomed by Bud and Kim who are exceptional hosts and later met their lovely dog Guinness. The accommodations are great, spacious rooms, many areas indoor and out to sit and have some wine and the breakfasts are amazing, with very fresh sometimes home-grown ingredients. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay near the beautiful Seneca lake nearby. They have great recommendations of what to do in the area and it is a very relaxing and peaceful place to spend some time away.
Bud and Kim have made what I consider a PERFECT B and B experience. It is a beautiful Victorian farmhouse in the middle of wine country. It is all the beauty and charm you expect with a B and B without the clutter of fru fru. Everything was incredibly tasteful. There is a huge deck overlooking Seneca Lake, a large common area with a fireplace and tv. Bud and Kim were very accommodating and their breakfasts were as exquisite as their accommodations. You won’t be disappointed! There are so many wineries up and down their street you almost stop every 500 ft to visit the next one. This place is a 5 ⭐️ retreat! Enjoy-we did!!!
A great place to eat, drink, and have fun. Bud and Kim are excellent hosts and the breakfasts are yummy. We were lucky enough to get the signature french toast--delish! during our stay. The common room has a wine refrigerator where you can store your wine at precise temperatures. There is a huge TV, comfortable couches, a table for your snacks (or, weather permitting- on the large deck outside). Everything was neat and clean! Wanted to give 5 stars but site wouldn't allow it for some reason.
This was a lovely bed in breakfast in a great 19th century home. The bed was especially comfortable and the view was great! The friendly house dog was an added bonus.
This past week I spent two glorious days at this wonderful bed and breakfast. I return to this location because it is simply the best on the Finger Lakes. I have now tried 3 of the rooms and they all have been tastefully decorated, clean and roomy. The breakfast is always wonderful, this visit we had stuffed French toast with sausage and a granola yogurt parfait with fresh peaches. The facility grounds are immaculate and the host dog Guinness is a joy to romp around with. I will return and highly recommend.
Perfect location near many wineries and restaurants. Bud and Kim were excellent hosts. They were very attentive to my gluten allergy and had delicious breakfasts every morning. The room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfy and the towels were fluffy. The shower was nice and hot. Would recommend to all that visit the area!
We had a great experience staying at The Fox and the Grapes. Location is good, right along the wine trail. Kim and Bud were very personable and kind. Breakfast was tasty and filling and enjoyed while sitting on the deck overlooking the lake. B & B was very clean and nicely decorated. The greeter, Guinness, was exceptional. He takes his job very serious. Guinness is the resident dog. We would not think twice about staying here if we are ever in the area again.
This is our second time staying at the Fox & the Grapes and the beds in 2 of the rooms have been recently upgraded, and they are so comfortable! Both Kim and Bud were extremely accommodating and we love having the resident dogs (Guiness and Bailey) around the most! Felt like home away from home. Highly recommend this B&B.
The owners are very friendly and hospitable. The included breakfast was amazing! Our room was clean, spacious with a king bed, and an attached bathroom with everything we needed. The property is beautiful. There is a garden with a pond, and a wonderful patio facing Seneca Lake. The B&B a close distance to a number of wineries, and a few local breweries and distilleries.
This was our first experience at a bed and breakfast and it was wonderful. We were comfortable and very well taken care of. The breakfasts were delicious and we will definitely recommend the Fox and the Grapes to everyone. Can't wait for our next visit!
This was our first stay at a B&B and we really enjoyed it. The hotel has several common areas so you can either find a private place to relax, or chat with the lovely hosts and other guests.
We really enjoyed our stay! Hosts Kim & Bud were very accommodating and all around pleasant to deal with. The B & B was just like pictured on the website with comfortable common spaces. Breakfast was tasty too. The Breakfast room easily allowed for the opportunity to visit with other guests while enjoying to yummy food.
We'd recommend a stay for anyone!
We stayed at Fox and Grapes because we had reservations for dinner at Suzanne, a restaurant just a short way up the road.
Bud and Kim had a warm fire burning in the fireplace of the great room that faces Seneca Lake when we arrived on a cool October day. Also in our room was an electric fireplace to take the chill off. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was delicious.
Often I travel with my own soft pillow and wished I had brought it with me.
