"It was a great stay in Loch Ness Gate House Apartment. There is very clean and spacious. Both the bedroom are very big. The king and queen bed are very comfortable. The decoration is also very tasteful. The best is the open kitchen. All cooking utensils are fully equipped, including salt, oil, sugar and dishwasher. I messeged the House from Hotels.com, and got a reply regarding the checkin arrangement 3 days before. I received a text messeged at 1400 on check in day from the House telling...

I arrived via public transport in the later afternoon and collected my keycard which was nearly presented in a little envelope by the bar staff (they have a restaurant and bar in the adjacent building). I booked a shared room, however, I was the only guest in this room. There was an impeccably clean shower and toilet with soap in each and a complimentary towel. The room was well heated for winter and had a clothing rack with hangars and two bunk beds. The view of the stream...

"We had a wonderful stay here. Mike and Peggy are fantastic hosts and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was cosy and absolutely perfect for a few nights away. The bathroom is small but definitely usable and didn’t cause any issues at all. Mike makes a fresh breakfast each morning, which was absolutely delicious and a real highlight of our stay. We caught on a closed road, and realized we weren't going to make check in, we looked at our phone to contact them, and they had already reached out before check in closed and made arrangements for us. Took a load off while sitting in traffic. Breakfast (for a charge) was delicious. Staff and property were great."

"A very cosy house right in the heart of Fort Augustus. The living room was lovely with the fireplace, though we forgot to ask for more firewood and it got a bit cold at night. It was very peaceful—I think we were the only guests! The room is small if you're travelling with luggage, but very comfortable and warm. The bathroom was perfectly adequate. Breakfast was basic but decent."
