Lindau hotel.

Lovely hotel, excellently located about 20/25 minute walk out of Lindau but close to a bus route. Very helpful and pleasant staff and beautifully set on the side of Lake Konstanz. All in all a great stay.

This is a really lovely hotel. The rooms were lovely spacious and comfortable. The grounds and pool area were beautiful. The only downside was the meal included in the half board package (which we didn’t realise we had until reception informed us). The menu was very limited and as someone with a fish allergy no alternatives were available. We ate somewhere else after the first experience.

It was really hard to check in- somehow the fully paid Expedia reservation ( my credit card was charged upon reserving the hotel)) did not show up in their system. I had to prove to the receptionist that i had paid and had to show my reservation. After that all went well. rooms need some improving: no coffee/water/tea in room, mini fridge did not work and the room felt musty because of the lake or maybe because there is no way to have a shower without flooding the non ventilated bathroom ( tub has no curtain, just a half glass door. ). Dinner was included and two nights dinner was fabulous however one night it was absolutely atrocious. Buffet breakfast was very good.

Stilvolles Hotel an wunderschöner Lage

Der Empfang war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Am hübschen Einzelzimmer mit Balkon hatte ich grosse Freude. Das Bad ist klein und bietet wenig Ablagefläche. Frühstück und Abendessen waren delikat. Vermisst habe ich einen Schminkspiegel und einen Wasserkocher, und der Parkplatz war mit 13€ doch überteuert. Aber alles in allem bin ich begeistert vom schönen Ambiente im Hotel.

Sehr schlechtes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis

Das Haus ist wie erwartet. Dem Alter entsprechend (Jugendstil) aber mit Charme. Die Zimmer sind klein aber gemütlich. Indiskutabel ist nach unserer Erfahrung das Personal. Viele Bewertungen erwähnen die Freundlichkeit. Ja, ok. Aber das ist normal Standard keine besondere Qualität und in dieser Preisklasse schon gar nicht, das setze ich voraus. Service Mitarbeitende sind nicht ausgebildet, da reichen 10 Min. Beobachtung nach Ankunft um das zu erkennen. Kellner hat nichts dabei, muss deshalb nach 5 Min nochmals zurückfragen was bestellt wurde. Auch diesmal hat er nichts um unseren Tisch abzuwischen und auch nichts um den Nebentisch abzuräumen. Alle Kellner laufen mehrfach „leer“… Noch ein Bsp.: Sonderwunsch (ab Karte) beim Diner an meinem Geburtstag: 1. Person: „Das geht nicht“ 2. Person: „Kein Problem“ 3. Person: bringt etwas völlig anderes, falsches und das mehr als eine Stunde nach der Bestellung … Die Zubereitung des Essens war an allen drei Abenden sehr gut. Zuvor am Nachmittag beim Badestrand möchte meine Frau ein Stück Kuchen: „Kommt später, wenn er überhaupt kommt“. Frage meiner Frau: „kann ich ein Stück für meinen Mann reservieren, er hat Geburtstag?“ „Reservieren machen wir nicht“! Tut mir leid, das geht einfach nicht in dieser Preisklasse. So jemand gehört nirgendwo an die Front, hier schon gar nicht. Das alles sind Führungsthemen und hat nichts mit Personalknappheit zu tun, weshalb wir das Haus in keiner Weise empfehlen können.

Ich finde es sehr schade, dass es im Bad keinen einzigen ganzen Liegestuhl hat! Alle defekt und stehen trotzdem herum, man kann sie aber nicht zum liegen benützen! Schade !

Tolle Lage entschädigt für einige Einschränkungen

Das Hotel ist eines der wenigen, welches direkt am Bodensee liegt. Entsprechend lebt das Hotel von seiner exklusiven Lage. Das Hotel selber ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und die Zimmer könnten auch eine Auffrischung vertragen. Auch wenn das Haus unter Denkmalschutz steht, könnten bestimmt Erneuerungen vorgenommen werden (z.B. der sanitären Armaturen). Auch fehlt eine Klimaanlage, was den Aufenthalt im Zimmer fast unerträglich machte und das Schlafen während der Hitzeperiode im August war mehr als eine Herausforderung. Die Freundlichkeit des Personals lässt vereinzelt auch etwas zu wünschen übrig, die Mehrzahl der Mitarbeitenden ist jedoch service-orientiert und kümmert sich um die Anliegen der Gäste. Das Essen im Hotel ist sehr gut, sowohl das Frühstücksbuffet als auch das 4-Gang-Menü am Abend. Da man im Hotel nur mit Halbpension buchen kann, ist dies sicher positiv erwähnenswert. Das grosse Highlight des Hotels ist zweifellos das Seebad. Wunderbar gelegen, in einem klassischen und stylischen Seebad angelegt, mit sehr gutem Zugang zum See. Trotz der Einschränkungen haben wir den Aufenthalt im Hotel genossen und wir konnten uns sehr gut erholen.
