"Everything was unique about this place, the location, the warm and generous host, her dog Twiggy. We had a delicious breakfast every morning including freshly made crepes. At the last minute we were given a ride to the nearest train station ! I will never forget Nicole and her place. Ligia"

"I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is fantastic and makes it easy to explore the beautiful town of Sancerre. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. A few things to keep in mind: the staff only spoke French, so communication could be difficult if you don’t speak the language. The amenities are fairly limited—there was no ice available, no on-site parking, and not many of the small conveniences you might expect. While the room itself was a nice size, I personally prefer hotels...

"A truly amazing place. Hosts are wonderful. We will go back - and bring friends next time - for sure. A wonderful country chateau. Home cooked meals. Gorgeous gardens. Stunning grounds. Beautiful home, full of books and art. This is not a fancy or high-end luxury experience; but a beautiful and charming rural experience with a great deal of grace, serenity, nature, culture -- if you like books, dining, wine, and nature, book several days here. Bruno and Marrianne are lovely to be around."

"Bon séjour dans cette hôtel. Le personnel est très serviable et l’espace extérieur est agréable. Les chambres ne sont pas très grandes mais suffises pour une nuit. La chambre est propre et comprend la clim (essentiel avec les fortes chaleurs) Le petit déjeuner est complet avec des viennoiseries locales. Il n’y a pas de frigo dans la chambre mais le personnel nous a gentiment proposé de mettre au frais nos affaires."
