This is a big lovely house with large beautifully decorated rooms- including several sitting rooms for visiting or reading. There is an amazing view from the terrace. Our hostess was very attentive and helpful and speaks English very well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!

We had an amazing stay at La Chancelière. Monique was a wonderful host and her breakfast was uniquely delicious. Our room was very comfortable and the terrace overlooking the garden and Sancerre was wonderful.

Unique experience

This place is an unique experience. Charming, historical, wonderful views and an outstanding sweet hostess who ensures your comfort in a nice discreet but effective way. At nightfall she serves aperitifs on the cosy terrace and mornings you are served the best breakfast ever. You need to experience this wonderful place.

This property is beautiful. Surrounding streets and front exterior look a little worn but once inside, the yard and views are beautiful. Jacques is a very nice gentleman and host. He was born in this house. The rooms are clean and ours was especially spacious with a large modern en suite bathroom. Details like linens and dishware are high quality. Breakfast fruit and pastries with juice and coffee was exceptional and served on a large beautiful patio. We would definitely stay again on a visit to Sancere.

Our stay at La Chanceliere was just heaven. Our room was a quiet relaxing oasis. Plenty of places to relax around the house and property too. Hostess Nichole goes above and beyond in every area putting her heart into so many details that make all the difference. And yes, there's even a lift!

We booked to go and do some wine tasting in the region. We booked with Nicole and were not disappointed, a beautiful French house, great hostess who did everything she could for us. Nicole arranged dinner, a private wine testing and parking during our stay. Would 100% recommend and we will be back in years to come for the hospitality and wine.

Superb boutique lodging in Saint Satur

Nicole & Jacques treated us like family. The continental breakfast and afternoon aperitifs were superb always featuring local produce and wines. True provincial France hospitality. Nicole made sure we had restaurant reservations each night of our stay and assisted us with recommendations and reservations. There is no television in the room however we did not miss this at all. Wifi worked very well. Would highly recommend staying here

The property is unique in my experience. A chateau with beautiful grounds in the middle of a small town. The home is classic french country. Host Nicole was exceptionally professional and gracious and attentive. Breakfast on the terrace each morning was spectacular--fresh fruit, organic yogurt, fresh squeezed juice and of course a basket of pastries fresh from the bakery (thank you Jacque!). Nicole is a knowledgeable and lovely person. I would book here again in a heartbeat.

DO NOT GO HERE. We showed up for our reservation. We entered through a dirty garage. The owner was not there. The person there spoke very little English. We said we were not staying. I offered to pay for a night but asked for a refund back for the other nights. When I got home from France there was not refund and when I contacted Hotels.com they called the hotel and the owner said we never canceled. I explained that we went but were not happy. They don't care and will not give any money back at all. BEWARE

Charme, ro og forkælelse

Vi overnattede på La Chanceliere (værelse Manosque) tre skønne nætter. Fantastisk bordserveret morgenmad på terrassen med udsigt til vinmarker og Chateau de Sancerre. Værelse er meget charmerende indrettet og der er adgang til kaffe og vand hele dagen. Vi blev forkælet med en lækker aperitif på ankomstdagen efter mange timers kørsel. Nicole er en fantastisk vært, der kun vil det allerbedste for hendes gæster. Udover at blive forkælet med den skønneste morgenmad og aperitif, hjælper Nicole med booking af restauranter, råd om vine, lokale råvarer mm. Fra La Chanceliere er der ikke langt på gåben til skønne restauranter i Sancerre. Skulle vores vej føre os tilbage til dette område, vil vi helt sikkert vende tilbage til La Chanceliere. Merci beaucoup, Nicole.

Lovely

Nicole and her husband were so welcoming, even dropping us off at the restaurant I had booked when there were no taxis! Rooms are clean and I loved the decoration. This is not a same same hotel but has character. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely.
