Great service from staff they were able to give us a double room after we booked twin room available via hotels.com which was great. The food is amazing, fish and chips is a definite go to, and 2nd night we had a 3 course meal closer to fine dining with famtastic quality. "Superb pub with rooms some of which are pet friendly. The bar area was open to dogs and we met quite a few well behaved pooches. The food is the same whether restaurant or bar and is excellent. The breakfasts are worthy of mention, eggs were delicious. Staff are lovely helpful and seem very happy in their work. They could not do enough for us. Excellent large car park with quick access to reception. Needless to say surrounded by beautiful scenery, Lakeland views and set in a quiet location ....

"Gorgeous stay. The staff were exceptional nothing was too much trouble. They are a real credit to the management. I attended to go to Yarndale in addition to celebrating my friends birthday. The restaurant was lovely with lots of choice including specials and with a prompt courteous service and a great ambiance. Will definitely be back when the log fire gets lit. Highly recommend for a lovely get away "
