Great Western Hotel

"We had a lovely short stay at the Great Western, the hotel is a little dated but apparently is currently undergoing a refurbishment The staff were pleasant and polite The bar area was nice and the view from the beer garden is lovely, overlooking the beach The bedroom was a good size, the bathroom was ok and both were spotless The beds were very comfy The bedrooms could do with more plug sockets as there were only 2 and we had to unplug things and swap them around In saying that we would stay there again"

"Not as good customer service as normal with regards to checking in and sloppy attention to detail. Confirmed by phone and in app and booked a dog friendly room with two beds as travelling with a friend. When checking in discovered the family room I booked was relocated and we were given a double. Luckily a twin room was found. Other than that a nice stay."

"The property is spotless, exceptionally well-maintained, peaceful, and very quiet. The secure parking with CCTV right in front of the property gave me extra peace of mind, and Karen was welcoming, friendly, and accommodating throughout my stay. The only thing to note is that food and takeaways aren’t allowed in the rooms, which I understand is likely to help keep the property clean and prevent insects. It would be wonderful if, in the future, guests who prefer ready-to-eat meals could use the dining room instead. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would happily give it a 10/10. I would definitely recommend this property to others!"

"Nicely located hotel about 10-15 mins walk into the town centre. Staff were excellent. Good amenities and nightly entertainment that was mixed but good fun. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again."

"Clean room a bit smaller than expected but nicely done. Booked a parking place in May, phoned day before arrival to make sure it was available and it was confirmed. Phoned again 12.00 to ask if we could park early, again confirmed. On arrival we were told we didn't have a parking place!!! We were told to park on the next street. "
