"It’s a beautifully sited hotel right on the lake - we hiked, had dinner there two nights and it was lovely even in the rain.
Staff are superb
My only critique is breakfast time only one restaurant open -it was mobbed so much we left- they do offer room service but that didn’t work as we were packed up to leave.
Other option for to go items - mobbed by people not staying there.
So … summary: great hikes - go early lots of hikers. lovely dinners ( we had way advance reservations)
Couldn’t get a spa treatment ( booked solid)
But you absolutely cannot beat the view
And staff are top notch"
"It’s a charming lodge experience. The location was perfect for Lake Louise and Moraine Lake shuttles access. The staff were exceptional. During check-in (Abby?) worked to find the answer to my question and resolved it. She also booked my shuttle transportation for the next day and planed the timing for each shuttle perfectly. She’s an exceptional hospitality professional. The restaurant was very good. I ate all meals here (2 breakfast and 2 dinners). The food was flavorful and fresh. The only challenge was timing meals around the large tour bus groups staying at the lodge. The lodge is about 3 stars - it’s an older lodge showing some wear and aging. Each day I saw the dedicated maintenance staff taking care of the property - landscaping and physical structures, painting, etc. The room was dark and stuffy. To lower its carbon footprint and reduce overall energy consumption, the inn does not have AC in guest rooms and provides a fan. I noted several guests would leave their door open to help with natural lighting and fresh air flow."
"Fabulous chalet with lots of room, well laid out and very well equipped. It was exceptionally clean on our arrival and housekeeping staff visited each day to see if we needed anything. I particularly liked the way each chalet was lit with fairy lights once it went dark, very picturesque. This resort is in a good location for sight-seeing and is situated in a beautiful setting. It was nice to sit out on the front deck of an evening watching the world go by. I would definitely recommend Castle Mountain Chalets.
Just one thing to note: the chalets are located very close to the railway line and the trains are very noisy."
"What an excellent experience. The staff was incredibly helpful and responsive, and very friendly. The offsite parking is a small challenge but the shuttles get you there fast. The views are wonderful and breathtaking. A small refrigerator in the room would be a nice future addition."
