"Beautiful hotel, terrible room experience — the AC situation was unacceptable
This was honestly one of the most disappointing hotel experiences of our trip.
When you first enter the Leonardo Royal Hotel Barcelona Fira, the hotel looks beautiful, modern, and upscale. The breakfast was also excellent. Unfortunately, everything changed once we got to the room.
The air conditioning was absolutely unacceptable.
The AC is heavily regulated and would shut off on its own roughly every hour. Our room...

"The room was fine but walls are thin. I could hear a baby crying throughout the night. The ground floor was unexpectedly flooded so most of the food options were closed. The upstairs restaurant was the worst food I had in Spain. But it's convenient for flying out. Workout room was good too."

"Wonderful place overall! I’ll give them One star for the pool. One star for the staff (Francisco specifically). One star for the location. One star for the Air conditioning. But im Taking a star away for the worst bed I’ve slept on in years. Obviously very old and worn. Springs jutting out everywhere. For the price of the stay, I hope theyre able to replace the mattresses soon, because I’d really like to come back!"

"The hotel advertises itself as 'soundproof'.
It is not.
The double-glazed windows facing onto Paral-lel were not up to the task of shutting out the voices of passersby, bar patrons, or the traffic noise.
We could hear the erotic pounding from the room above.
We could easily hear our next-door neighbour banging on the wall that separated our two rooms, presumably as a way of requesting that we turn down our (moderate) TV volume.
Conversations in the hallway were easily audible and...

"We spent three nights here on a leisure trip and had a very positive experience. The staff were excellent, and check-in and check-out were quick and easy.
The location is central with good access to public transit. Despite being on a busy street, the hotel was quiet.
Our room was clean and comfortable, with good-quality linens on the bed. The bathroom was a good size and well stocked with amenities. The hair dryer wasn't working, but it was replaced while we were out, so the issue was handled...
