Room was great. Property is 1 - 5 walking distance to 20 - 30 restaurants and 3 grocery stores. Depending on the tours you do, the tour shuttle can pick you up right at the hotel or the closest hotel on their which is 5 minutes walking. Overall great place to stay

No breakfast during off season. Breakfast was not an option -Which is not stated online. Be advised there are no breakfast options here but lots of places nearby to walk. The pictures online were NOT really an accurate representation of the rooms available and the room we had was outdated. This was ultimately what was upsetting to us, as we wouldn’t have booked this hotel if the room pictures were accurate. The AC and wifi did work when we were there -those were the only amenities we used/had. In the room we had a mini fridge, shampoo, soap, and AC. The tv didn’t work when we tried. The rooms are upstairs so be prepared to climb with luggage. The lady did not really help us plan anything, extra towels or give us anything extra besides checking in and our key. There were two keys on the fob and I had to ask her what the keys were each for. Besides a few hairs around the room (bath mat & under fitted sheet), the room seemed clean and even though very very outdated, it was clean. We were not really impressed with the hospitality, but you get what you pay for. The doors to the hotel stay open and don’t lock even at night, per receptionist. When we checked out, we had a different day time receptionist, HE was very kind checking us out. Would not stay here again but it gets the job done if needed.

I could not have asked for a better place to post up while exploring La Fortuna. The room was immaculate, the people working at the desk were all very knowledgable (Thanks GiGi and Rocio!!) and while I like practicing mi Espanol, they all spoke English. Very happy with my stay!

We stayed in a double room with two beds and private bath, as opposed to the hostel section of the hotel which catered towards backpacker type travellers. The room was simple and very clean, comfortable and not fancy. Nice hot water for our morning showers and an easily controlled heat pump unit on the wall. The staff was very friendly, especially Kevin, the weekend desk manager. The hotel is on the main route through town, so we heard a lot of street noise. We had a private balcony, and also sat in the front patio to enjoy our breakfast. They had fresh delicious fruits, yogurt, cheese, toast, cereal, and the like. It was easy to fill up on food we enjoyed.

A great place to stay in the heart of everything

As a solo traveller it’s important to me that I have somewhere to sit in the evening with an outlook. The terrace at the front of the hotel is ideal. Somewhere to sit with a beer and watch the world go by. Staff were very helpful and pleasant ensuring my stay was good. You do need earplugs for early morning motorbikes going to work.
