"We enjoyed our stay. Most of our time was spent sightseeing but the staff was kind and they managed to get all 3 of our parties close by on one floor. We were grateful."
"A pleasant stay in a convenient location. Though the check in time was late afternoon we arrived earlier, and we were able to store our luggage till check in.
The staff were helpful and the property was in a great location, with a decent sized comfortable room and bathroom."
"Really good value, decent sized room per Japanese standard and a good breakfast. Its about 13 min walking distance from the train station and the center of the city but very close to the Matsumoto castle."
"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Morschein. Ample space for a 3 person room in Japan, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was excellent, and the hotel was very close to the train station. Very friendly staff"
"I spent a few nights here to use as a base while exploring the area. I really appreciated their onsen, a lovely oasis. It was also very convenient to the train station for coming and going on day trips. Staff were great and the hotel was very comfortable."
"Hotel is a 5 to 10 minute walk to Matsumoto Castle and a 15 minute walk to Matsumoto train station. My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights. This is a large western style hotel that receives many tour groups. 1-2 buses were hogging the entrance 4 of the 5 nights. Other than that, it never felt crowded. The women's barh was good, and it appears to ration entry with a card. I never had to wait, bathing 9-10pm. Breakfast was buffet and offerws some western breakfast options. A point off for claiming to have laundry facility but restricting hours to 9am to 8pm- it was usless to us. Staff exceptional, providing us with useful map of the northern alps and quickly dealing with noisy neighbors. We used this hotel as our base for exploring the alps and Takayama. The drivers were longer than ideal but very scenic."
