We had an amazing time staying at Aroa Kainga Bungalows and can't recommend it enough. Jane and Craig were absolutely wonderful hosts—so friendly and incredibly helpful. The location is right next to the beach and my unit had an excellent view of the beach and the ocean, as well as views in the other direction to the mountains of Rarotonga. The hotel is right on the beach and ground floor rooms (which we had) open directly onto a private patio and then the beach which is golden sand. The lagoon in front of the hotel is very safe and ideal for swimming or snorkelling. The hotel provides free sun loungers, reef shoes, snorkelling equipment and kayaks for guest use.
