Dear Shane, We are very regretful and disappointed you had this experience. I can only imagine what you and your family must have felt and I completely understand the reason for your review. It is equally frustrating for us, as well as many other villa owners in the area, One of which has been burgled over 5 times this year alone. This is why we tell our guests to always use the digital safes we provide in every room, and we emphasize this during check-in. Despite the security guard and the CCTV of others, these professionals are still managing to pull off these heists consistently despite all odds. We are a family run business and I assure you that we do not moonlight as professional thieves if that is what you were insinuating in your review. We do our best to provide good service to our guests, and we understand there we can’t take back this experience. We are still hopeful in our investigation with the banks/exchanges and local pawnshops, in that they might turns up something. As we only manage the rentals for this villa, we have not been able to get approval for a CCTV system to be put in yet. Collectively, residents are taking more measures to increase security and add features to brighten up the estate. We’ve just sent out a letter to other residents in that a few villas might share the cost of a security guard specifically for that small section of the estate. I don't expect that you would want to come stay here again after your ordeal, but my offer still stands for a complimentary stay once the villa next-door is finished and there is no more possible security flaws, should you ever want to claim it.
