The view of Mt Fuji over the lake was incredible. The staff was lovely and it was peaceful and quiet at the hotel. We loved it so much we tried to extend our stay but they were very busy. We definitely want to come back!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The view of Mt. Fuji is stunning if weather permits. You can see it even from your bed. You can enjoy quiet, rural setting. The staff are friendly and helpful. If you are there during weekdays without a car, it will be hard to get lunch.
This is the small hotel that they use the exterior for the Netflix drama series “ Hot Spot”. The interior is much more spacious than what we see in the TV show. It is located in the remote area and it’s inconvenient for shopping, etc. However, it is an advantage for people who want to avoid the hassle of overtourism in the Mt. Fuji area. The room was newly renovated and the bedding was very comfortable. We didn’t eat at their restaurant, but they have a fridge in the room, so we brought our food and had cozy time enjoying the view of Mt.Fuji from our window.
The views from the hotel are like no other and for that it deserves experiencing. It is very secluded and does sit on a bus route but I would suggest renting a car if you're going to stay here. It's about 30min from Kawaguchiko and there is nothing else nearby. The hotel offered dinner and it was very good, we had the Ishiyaki at our table. The rooms are small which was to be expected however the pillows were very uncomfortable. The art museum was a nice touch but it wasn't very well advertised or I missed it. I only found it because it was on my floor.
We had a very Plesant stay. Had a very large room with tatami floors and great views of Fuji Mountain over the lake. We had breakfast and dinner. The food and presentation was very good. The personnel was very good. Language can be a problem. Most importantly when we walked in the hotel the first time there was an odor stuck at the ground floor coming from the kitchen, they need to ventilate the area more.
We had some nice walks around the lake and took many pictures. Great place to stay couple days.
This hotel does have a nice view of Mt fuji; however, the building itself has a lot that needs improvement. The curtains are stained and my friend's room had stained carpet. Overall, I was really disappointed given how highly rated the building was on expedia.
This hotel is really inaccessible if you do not have a car so I definitely wouldn't recommend it if you're traveling by bus / taxi. There's not much around the area and you'll spend a majority of your time here wondering why you picked such an isolated area. There's nothing to eat outside of the hotel other than two other hotel's and their food options (when I visited they were both closed).
Great hotel and very friendly staff. Great food, both breakfast and dinner. Location is also very idyllic, but definitely best if you come by car.
You can make it work by public transport but it is a bit far, and buses don't run late in the evening
Amazing views of mountain Fuji come with a price for sure, but this old facility has very little to offer. Run by a bunch of extremely friendly and severely cute old Japanese grandmas, this surprisingly huge hotel is spotless clean but rather abandoned. The baths are located on the ground floor, but from there to your room is a freezing marathon that totally puts you off from using them. If you haven’t booked dinner in advance you’ll be served rice with curry sauce for 1000 yen, so plan in advance. There is nothing else around except from some van loudspeakers waking you up at 6am. Right on time for that sunrise shot!
