"We loved our stay at umaya. The beach is awesome. The whole pool area/chairs/dock and set up are awesome too. So great that you can also borrow Kayaks and paddle boards (which we did) to have morning paddles when the ocean is calmer. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel itself is beautiful, the staff helpful and accommodating and the food at the hotel was good as well. There are also many restaurants and a supermarket (10 min drive) close to umaya without having to always make the drive...

"What a cozy and well-located room in Placencia. Our cabana was right on the beach. The busy and fun bar next door had music playing till midnight, but for us, that was great -- just made it more like beach living. The rooms are in great condition and the staff is wonderful.
