"The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities that we wanted. We ate meals at the hotel and the food was very nice with good menus, both for dinner and for breakfast. Our room had a garden view at the end of the unit block, overlooking the pool, and it was very private. It also had a small kitchenette which we always find very handy. We went for a walk along the ocean front and you could sit all day there and watch the ocean. There is a marketplace shopping centre within walking distance which was handy for supplies and browsing the shops, without ever leaving the hotel."
"They are doing contactless entry into the guest rooms and provide detailed instructions on how to do so on the day of arrival. They also have a comprehensive booklet in the room on everything you need to know during your stay from start to finish. Plantation Hale is conveniently located near Coconut Marketplace, which has some shops, a few restaurants, and a convenience store. There are also other nearby shops and restaurants within walking or driving distance. About a 15-minute drive from Lihu'e, but the view is beautiful along the way."
"The location is definitely the highlight for this resort. Perfectly situated in front of the beach, with a view of the ocean from basically anywhere in the resort.
The beach itself is not for swimming as it’s short and rocky, but there are plenty of good options at walking distance.
The resort itself is OK, adequate for the price but not exceptional. Room amenities are limited also in the “premium” rooms. Nice pool, although in the late afternoon, which would otherwise be the best time for spending time in the pool after a long day, the pool is in a shady and windy spot, making it almost too cold to enjoy.
Close to many options for food (restaurants and grocery stores), so you don’t need to drive much if you don’t want to.
Overall, a great place to relax and enjoy."
"The property, the rooms, the facility, the beach are fantastic! The price I got the week for was very reasonable. Be aware that there isn't much as far as restaurants or food options unless you have a rental car. Hotel restaurant is only open from 5-9 6 days a week. Sundays are pretty much shutdown unless you drive to fast food options. Overall it was a wonderful vacation!!!"
"First room smelled horrible…front desk clerk sprayed the room…still horrible! I continued to complain, finally next day we were moved to another room. The property is well maintained and the remainder of our stay was nice but I felt we should have been offered a different room immediately after we complained about the smell in the first room, not the next day after complaining again."
"What a great view from the back of room 2105! Very comfortable beds and helpful staff. The path out back was very nice too, it was situated close to good food and the town, very walkable. Very affordable for oceanfront. We enjoyed Mermaids for dinner as well as Gloria's for breakfast."
"Great hotel, spent quite a bit of time in the pool and the waterslides with the kids.
Great location on the island, centrally located for site seeing."
