"Eine sehr schöne Unterkunft mit guter Ausstattung und angenehmem Design. Man sollte jedoch über ein Auto verfügen, da die Lage etwas abgelegen ist. Bedauerlich fanden wir, dass der Weg zu unserem Chalet sowie die Terrasse nicht geräumt waren, obwohl es mehrere Tage keinen Neuschnee gegeben hatte. "We stayed first night elsewhere but needed a hotel closer to the bus station for the second night. This hotel was perfect for that. In fact, the highway express bus stop is in their parking lot. The hotel is also convenient for the theme park but we only walked around that (lines are LONG). They also have a few stores and restaurants in the hotel, or connected to the theme park. Room was smaller than expected but clean. Breakfast was great and worth buying in our purchase - it also had a fabulous view of Mt Fuji in the morning. Only downside was the Onsen access. It’s a public Onsen (not just hotel guests) which after our resort experience the night before was too much hassle (and more strict about clothing and tattoos) "

"Beside the building is aged, but everything else is awesome. You get to experience how public bath work in Japan. Breakfast is good as well. Stuff dont speak English but they have translation app all handy. If you wake up at early morning, you get to experience Fuji mountain right out from your room. If you are tall enough you can see the mountain while osen"

"Breakfast at the Lakeland Hotel Mizunosato was outstanding. One day we got a multicourse Japanese breakfast, and the other day a western one. Both were excellent, but the Japanese breakfast was amazing, esepcially since it was something we were not anticipating. I and my wife are foodies and extremely adventurous omnivores. Discounting buffet breakfasts in five-star hotels, where just the sheer variety overwhelms, we concurred that we had never had breakfast at any hotel anywhere in the world as good as what the Lakeland offered — in spread, quality, taste, and presentation. A solid 10/10. The rooms are very spacious, the interiors are reminiscent of early Japanese modern architecture, the staff is very professional and courteous. Especially notable is the traditional Japanese living space with tatami mats and washi walls, perfect for tea and relaxation. Our room had an unencumbered view of Lake Kawaguchiko to boot. We didn't use the public bath for lack of time, but hope to on another visit."

"The hotel is definitely old and in need of Reno’s. We stayed in one of the side buildings, which was incredibly dusty, we ended up sleeping with masks and vick vapour rub every night. Waking up with sore throats and the worst congestion. The beds are horrible, very hard, can feel the springs stabbing you in the back, I woke up the first night at 4am with a horrible migraine from the springs in my back and ended up sleeping on a two seater couch for the remainder of my stay. Asked for an extra pillow, was declined. Breakfast and dinner buffet was good selection and staff was nice to us. "
