The room was gorgeous! Bravo for the elevated and tasteful decor. The exterior does need a little facelift here and there as it is an older hotel, but there is a "classic," old Hawaii charm about it. Bell Attendant was a bit pushy when we did not let him take our bags before check in - asking repeatedly - when guaranteed check in was only 30min out. Other than that, the staff at the Veranda was so nice and cheerful and dinner at Arancino was amazing. This is a great option to stay outside of Waikiki.

We stayed here prior to doing a cruise which got delayed 3 more days due to a hurricane. The registration desk helped extend our stay and keep the same room, which was excellent. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and also making a lei. The store was great for purchasing needed items. All good!

"Everything about the resort was very nice and clean. The beds were good and the property restaurants were good. The only bad thing were the elevators. Almost always packed and sometimes you had to wait through 2 cycles to get where you needed to go. We stayed in the Rainbow tower."
