Napili Shores Maui by OUTRIGGER
8/10 Good
"The view is wonderful. Sitting on the patio and listening to the ocean is amazing! Unfortunately, the bed is terribly uncomfortable. There is a smell in the room and the towels and sheets also smell."
"The room was a little outdated, but it was nice. It was clean. The staff was wonderful. Only suggestions I would make would be to put a screen on the patio door so you can at least leave the doors open to get the breeze from the ocean. Because if you leave it open now, you’re gonna have a room full of birds."
"We loved our two bedroom stay! Our view of the ocean was lovely and we were very comfortable. Our room was clean and had what we needed. It is a bit dated but not unreasonably so and we felt it was a great value. The pools were heated and never overcrowded. The beach is lovely to look at but wasn't really swimmable due to rocks and there was a strong southern swell. There are plenty of other nearby beaches though. The grocery store and a few restaurants are within easy walking distance. The staff was great, check in and our was a breeze, we even had a wonderful grounds person who went out of his way Thursday morning to discuss the outrigger on the property and the history of outrigger on the islands. One thing, make sure your balcony doors are closed correctly or the AC will not come on and the room will get very hot. It will say balcony in the thermostat if not closed correctly."
"This place was okay but honestly there were waaaaaay too many kids and not enough spaces for adults to escape to. One thing that I was really looking forward to was the grotto so when we arrived and they remodeled and removed it, we were really disappointed. Another thing was the guest services on the phone was AI so the staff brought us the wrong items. They were really friendly and this place was nice but for the price I guess I was just expecting more."
"This hotel is very charming and old-fashioned in the best way. The rooms are spacious and modern, but the outside look and feel of the hotel is very quaint. The extremely helpful young woman at the front desk seemed to know everything about the island and was able to answer every question we asked. We were busy while we were there, so we didn't have a chance to use the pool, but it looked clean and inviting. We did use the laundry facilities (laundry detergent is available in the vending machine). Our room had a large bathroom (sink outside of the toilet/showr room but still separated from the bedroom), refrigerator, microwave, coffee set up, and very comfortable mattresses and pillows. The property is well maintained and quiet (well, except for the chickens, but they didn't really bother us and can be heard anywhere, any time in HI). We didn't have great cell service, but I realized too late that the hotel offers free calls to anywhere in the US, which is cool. The restaurant is closed, which is a shame, because it looks like it would be fun, and we would have liked an additional dining option. We would definitely stay here again if we have the good fortune to return to Molokai!"
"Do not pay extra for 1 bedroom Oceanview. All 1 bedrooms only have partial view. Paid extra $50 each night for nothing and when notified Expedia, I did not get my money back except $100 one key cash credit."
